I watched a video about the value of dead body just now.It shows that dissectors dissect the usefull parts of the dead body.If every usefull part of the dead body can be put to the best use,one body is worth 250,000 dollars.Due to the high value of the dead body, some people do illegal dead body business to earn a great deal of money. The illegal business causes bad influence and should be prohibited.Doctors can transplant the useful part of dead body such as skin, tendon, heart valve, cornea to the recipients. So it can help a lot of patient turn to a normal life. But there are not enough number of dead bodys to meet the need of transplant so it is necessary to apeal to people to donate their body after death. Are you willing to donate your body after death?

Yes I will do. Do you know how much people yearly die, because they didnt get the needed organ? I think much more people should donate their bodies for help others. You already cant do anything better with your body.

I wouldnt because I also found out that they make a lot of money off of your body yet you are giving it free for science I feel that even though certain body parts can be used to help others how can thay get your body for free and the person who needs it is charged hundreds of thousands of dollars I feel that its like a black market this world is so coniving in certain things its sad and that is one of them

My boyfriend and I have both signed up to have our bodies donated to a medical school in our state for study after we die. They will pay for disposal and removal of our bodies as well as harvest whatever is available for future use. I believe that I will be with God so my body will not be needed. Besides the thought of bugs chewing at my body somewhat grosses me out.
We did some research before we decided on the school program because like you say there are a lot of illegal activities. We did discuss this with family and friends before we signed the papers and just talking to your family is not really enough. If one family member says donate and another has an objection the law could try to intervene and the harvest time is gone. Donated bodies can be used for so many positive things I think we all should at least consider it.

I have thought about it. After watching Seven Pounds with Will smith made me think about it even more.
I think it is a good thing to do. It can save other peoples lives. and I would know that I have helped someone.
I think I would consider it.

Yes, I would. I would like to think that by sacraficing my body once I'm gone to help others is great thing. Whether it be for science or to save a life. You never know who you may be able to save or help once you are gone. I don't see why you would need anything unless your religion doesn't believe you shouldn't remove organs and such, but if I can save a little girl who needs a heart so be it, she can have my heart and give her the same oppurtunity I got to live a life.

Hmmm...I would agree to that...I wouldn't mind my organs being donated out to the people who needs them..My life is already over, so why should i prevent those others that could have a better life with my body parts if they could...? Yea, i guess it's the kind of thing i would do...=]

I don't mind donating my orgens to peopel I know like my love ones. donating to a stranger that I never met is kind of creapy for me. Just thinking about some one out there you don't know is walking around with part of you is just not the move. know if I meet the person before I die god forbid then that is a different story.

nope... even though i don't have any use for it... i think id rather have my body intact and buried somewhere. i would not like that people would look at my body as a science project for students.

I do not indicate anywhere that I am a donor like on my driver's license. I have however indicated to my family that my wish is to have my body donated for research and for whatever can be useful to perhaps save another's life. I do not have the donor indicator on my license because I want to make sure that every attempt to save my life will be made. My husband thinks I am crazy for thinking that they would not make that attempt but I am not so sure with the demand for organs and the high price people are willing to pay for them. I do not want to be buried, take up space on this earth and a great expense to my family nor do I want to be cremated and placed on the mantle, I do not want my family to see me that way. I would rather they remember me as I am now and the good times and know that maybe I was able to contribute to another life after mine has ended. I am hoping that is still a long time away.
