Well I dont think it is. Its just a colour, and may be that its just a plain and sometimes grim one that, people draw the conclusion that it is for only devil worshippers and Goths and Emo's well, I like some balck stuff...Im currently wearing a Black T-Shirt, with a Motorhead Logo on it, and Does that make me a devil Worshipper...No...but theres nothing wrong with liking balck or nythin like that....

actually whenever there is a talk of the devil ...either he should be standing in the dark or wearing a black overcoat...i guess its for the fear of the dark & not the back colour itself..what say?
Thank you for your reply anyways...have a nice time...

It's because black isn't a real "color" at all; it's the abscence of everything: color, light, etc -- aka space.
Things like the devil are considered evil, which is considered to be a bottomless pit of never-ending despair. So to say something like "the blackness of evil" isn't giving it a color more than it's giving it a definition. "Black" is an adjective used to describe something while "red" is a noun -- an actual thing: a color.
Black is also the polar opposite of white: one used as purity and the other as impure.
And in racist situations, the age-old battle of black and white is nothing more than propaganda. White people aren't anywhere close to white nor are black people anywhere close to black. It didn't start out to mean, "we're pure, you're not," or anything like that; it was more of a "close enough" deal. But the meanings of things really get twisted, especially when they can be used for driving someone down to propel yourself.
I'm partial to blue, myself.

I'm not sure why it is considered the devils color though I know that "goths" wear black and can sometimes be devil worshippers. I don't want to say satanists because I've read somewhere that it's different. Not sure if it is but don't want to offend. Black is a dark color, dark is considered to be bad, where the devil lives (that place that I'm sure I can't type out as it's also a foul word) is supposed to be dark and with fire. Fire can create smut, smut is black, so...
Then again I could be reading to much into it.
On another note, white is considered good.

Generally in human tradition it was said that devil is the god of darkness. And as we know darkness is like black out. Perhaps that's the origin of black for devils. Here i try to thinking with my own imagination to answer your question. White is related with angels, god and godness, and anythings good maybe because we can't hide something with white colour. If you wear a white coat, and your hand bringing a book, that book could be recognized quickly. But if you wear a black coat, the only thing can be recognized asap might be only your face. Practically bad people might be hide something fishy in deep of their heart so we can say those bad people are devil. Meanwhile, good people have nothing to hide from their society so we can say their heart as clear as a plain paper. This answer is just an imagination, but i hope it could answer your curiosity.
