I am in IT field. So I know the programming. But it is not possible for me to know programming in all software languages. I mainly do database programming. I like to learn programming in hardware. I also like to learn the rare skills of programming languages.

Oh, I have learnt many thing on computer and I don't want to learn new technologies. I am fed up with my knowledge. I think I would like to upgrade my programming skills so that I can keep up with the market demand.
I have done a Post Graduation course in Computers so, I need to be with the new trend otherwise it would be difficult for me to have jobs!

All 'programming' is quite the same. In the same sense that all math is the same. People think they cannot program but it is steps that need to be taken and when these steps are taken there are successes that are made along the way.
In other words in one hour you could be writing your first program... it might just say hello world or something as such but it is a start... then you build on what you already know.
Just like math... you learn how to add/subtract which allows you to multiply/divide which allows you to learn about decimals and fractions which then takes you into quadriatic equations which takes you into geometry which takes you into calculus... now you are a math stud.
Same with programming!
Good luck!
Thanks

It is sometimes easier when you are not a professional. If I don't do a good job I don't eat! If someone plays with something as a hobby their success is measured on how they progress. Maybe the first thing they do is not good but the next is better and then they get better and better all the while doing it all for fun.
That takes away a lot of anxiety and stress.
Thanks

Hello friend,
I do know a few computer programming languages but I would like to learn java and a few dot net languages. These are the things that drive the world right now when it comes to cyber front and I do not want to be lagging behind.

Hi Youless, mine is the same as you! My ex-bf is good at computer. He surprised me once by typeing some number and word and sign, then asked me to hit the enter button, i hit it. There is a flower and heart shape with I love you on the computer screen! I was so surprised and happy at that time. Good memories. That's why i want to learn how to make programs.

There are a lot about computers that I want to learn. My knowledge with computers is very basic. In fact, I was surprise when I was able to work as a technical support representative dealing with internet connection. During the training, i got exhausted as well it was "nose-bleed" because I am not familiar with most of the computer terms. From then on, I realize that maybe I need to get computer subjects. In terms of software, I am familiar with word, excel and powerpoint presentation only. I want to learn how to do photoshop and those other computer applications. In terms of computer hardware, I want to know how to troubleshoot computer issues.

Programming is easier now compared before, because of the existence of the Windows-based programming language. Before, programming languages available are all DOS-based. Well, I'm not that good in programming, but I know how to create a program. The language I'm using is Visual Basic 6. I suggest that you also try to learn Visual Basic, there's a lot of tutorials in the Internet. Actually I have a knowledge on almost every skill in computer but only little knowledge, not an expert. I know programming, website designing, photo editing, animation, troubleshooting, etc. I want to be versatile in computer. I hope my memory can handle all of these. Lol!

I think in current time the most chanllengeable and promising skill for me to learn for computer is programing skill! But it really seems hard for me. I do not major in computer and I am not so good at math. But I think I am interested in computer and the Internet. However,to use them seems much easier. But the basical principal and development of them seems very difficult for me.

Me too, this was my first choice to enroll in college however I did not pursue it. After graduating from college, I would like to enroll however due to financial difficulties it did not push through again. I really like to learn programming however I do not know if I can still do it.
