In the past, i used to enjoy reading Fiction books especially those thrilling ones because they are very exciting and interesting..and never enjoyed Non-fiction books at all.. But recently, i have a great interest in Non-fiction books because i feel that many things that are mentioned are very true and real-life.. what about all the mylot users out there? do you prefer Fiction or Non-fiction books?

I like to read fiction as well as non-fiction. I have always read a lot of books, and when I was younger I only read fiction. I liked to read stories about love, friendship, struggles, other countries etc and I also liked horror stories a lot. When I got older I started to lose my interest in fiction and there was a long period in my life when I read nothing but non-fiction. Now I read a combination of both things. I love fiction and I also love non-fiction books about travelling, other cultures, languages, psychology and art.

I think it is quite common that when people are still young, they tend to prefer fiction books because they are generally more interesting and easier to understand...but as people become grow up and become more mature, non-fiction books seems to be more of interest to them..because we realised thats alot we can learn from it =)

I enjoy fiction more then non fiction as non fiction has a tendency of being boring. However I do enjoy reading some things that are non fiction such as the bible. Other things besides the bible I enjoy reading are autobiographies or books pertaining to different places around the world. History of those places are very interesting to me. Although I'll be honest in saying I haven't read books like that in a long time. Other then the bible I like to read fiction books with mystery, romance, suspense and sometimes murder.

for fiction books, i prefer mystery, suspense and murder because they are very thrilling and exciting!! they are usually very intersting such that i cannot wait to read the ending..but for romance, it can be quite slow-moving so it can get quite boring..but recently i read one romance book by nicholas spark which i thought was not too bad..

I definitely enjoy fiction books a lot more than I do non-fiction. As the first person said, non-fiction does tend to be a little boring sometimes. The thing with me is that when I read, I read to be entertained. So obviously in that sense fiction definitely has the heads up on non-fiction.

yeah i agree that non-fiction can get quite boring... but what makes non-fiction books so interesting to me is because it is very real-life, and unlike fiction books, the situations are all real and not created.. non-fiction books can be equally entertaining too! =)

I generally read fiction, I like to be able to take a "mental vacation." There are some things that I read that are non fiction such as gardening books, do it yourself books etc. To relax and just have fun it is fiction for me all the way.

It is true that most fiction books are more fun to read and hence can be more relaxed... but actually there are fiction books can be quite mind-consuming..and set people thinking..i read quite a few whereby the story is so complicated that everytime i read i got to refer back infront to ensure i know who is that character and so on..is not that relaxing after all..
