Pie or Cake? The epic battle.

Okay. From the title.. One could possible derive a pointless discussion, and not bother responding. But, I made this for rather 'fun' purposes, to see everyone's view on each of the following.
So what will it be? The pie? The cake? Both have seen their time in this world, both are usually rather sugary treats, used in different sorts of celebrations and deserts. So. It comes down to pure preference, I would think. I've heard alot of people beating up on the cake lately, which is why I placed this here.
So. With that said, what's your choice? And why?

Preference? Between pie and cake? Nevah!
I actually really do like them both equally. It just depends on the flavor, of course, xD
Beating up on cake? Don't people realize that punching it is rather messy? (Messier than punching a person?)

Hmm.. Depends on who was cooking the cake. Some can be rather hard.. And burned. =P

I have to admit that it really depends on my mood! I love a good lemon cake with lots of yummy icing. Or a chewy brownie straight from the oven and still warm and gooey!
But, there are times, when nothing will satisfy my sweet tooth like a warm cherry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream on the top.

Lol, yeah. Maybe the battle spreads beyond just the pie and the cake. Alot of desserts are quite good, and mood does play a big part. Thanks~
