My cat is driving me nuts!! She has always been a affectionate cat, always loves attention, and wanting to be noticed, but lately all she does is cry and whine for attention, pick her up, carry her around till she wants down, then she starts all over again, I am going to go nuts, I have tried ignoring her, squirting her, but she still does it!
We have recently moved, but she started doing this before the move so not sure why she is doing this, she is an indoor cat and only goes for walks in her cat stroller...
Anybody else have this problem with their cat?

maybe her character is just changing as she is getting older, if you are really worried you can call a vet.

she is adapting to the change because you have moved recently. cats tend to react to change differently. my mom's cat is the same way, she is always bugging my mom for attention, this is because my dad passed away in early february and the kitty is wanting the attention that she used to get from him.

Thank you, so this will be the last move we will be doing, today is the big move and also like I said the last, so maybe after today she will settle down a bit, we just moved here 2 months ago and we are now like I said in the process of moving again..
Whew this is getting to be too much for me, and by the sounds of it, also too much for the cats..

My male cat is like this. He loves to be held and petted and spoken to. When our DD was born, he was a bit upset that he didn't get all the attention he used to, but now he realizes that our DD pays him attention to so that helps his ego also. If there has been a sudden behavior change, you might try a trip to the vet. If she was friendly before, but overly amorous now, that could be a sign of a problem with the cat.
Do you have another cat? Often times, a cat will get like this when she's lonely or you're gone a lot. I adopted both of my kitties together. They are siblings and were found together, so I adopted them that way. Cammie (my female kitty) had to go to the vet for a stomach problem about a year or so ago. Cosmo (my maile kitty) refused to eat for a day until his sister got home. He'd mope around and was very lethargic and depressed. The instant my husband brought Cammie in, Cosmo lit up like a Christmas tree and was back to his old self.

Yes we have 2 other cats in the house, we are moving again and because of that we are in and out a lot, so we are not there to cuddle her as much, so when we went to the vet he explained that she is a people cat she has to have her people near her to feel secure and safe, so once we move she should settle right down again, and if she is getting too anxious we have some pills to help keep her calm, though I would rather not give them to her..

I was starting to wonder the same thing myself, and if she does not settle soon, I think I will take her to the vets to see if she is alright or not.
We have a male cat that she is very close too, and he is not well, he suffers from fits or seizures, (which is fairly new), maybe she is picking up on his illness and responding to that by crying?? Weird, no idea..
