I used them when I visit my cousin before. It is cool enough. Imagine putting fan in front of a bowl of solid ice and that's where the cool wind come from. I think it's a bother though. Without the ice, it will the same as ordinary fan. But it can save money as the electricity cost of using it won't be as much as using the air conditioner.

Are you talking about fans that use ice to give air? I've never heard of such a thing but it'd be interesting. Although while it would save on electricity it wouldn't on water, so I don't know. I think though that opening windows, etc helps with air coming into a place better, and it save the environment and money.

hi yes is a fan ,but you can top up ice in to the fan .when the fan blow the cold air will just like portable air con. but air con need to run high power electricity ,but for cooler fan you just like running a normal fan .your electricity bill will be the same as the normal fan.one thing you need to ready a lot ice or cold water.if the ice gone the air will just like normal fan.

In my home I use a desert cooler, that uses water to run and cool the room. And here in Chennai, India I am having a air conditioner. I have never used the one that uses ice to give out cold air. :)
