Do you ever move your furniture around?

Today I got a friend to help me move the furniture around in my bedroom. It was tiring to do but now I feel really happy. Doing this is making me do some clutter clearing that is getting rid of clothes I don't like anymore. I even found an amber gem stone that I got in Lithuania last year that I thought I had lost? Do you ever move your furniture around? If so why? If not why not? How does it or would it make you feel?

I used to move my bedroom furniture around when I was a kid, but now I don't. I live with my fiance and his parents, and my fiance just doesn't like to move things around. We really don't have much room to move things around as is, so the fact that we don't doesn't bother me at all. At first I wanted to move things around but after talking about it, we realized it just wouldn't be conventional to move things around.

All the time LOL, or rather, I used to. Because for the past few years my space has become so limited that it is complicated to move anything at all. I used to move things in rooms, and I used to be able to move the furniture to clean behind each thing. Mostly impossible right now, which creates a whole set of new problems.

Yes, I usually move mine around once every 4 or 5 months.. I like to switch it up try to make more room or if im adding somthing into my living room got to make it look good. I usually do like you and find things or go through my things and throw stuff out.. I feel acomplished and relaxed when im done..

When I was renting a room I used to move the furniture including the bed about every 3 months. Not to clear clutter as I am not a person who clutter things. I moved the furniture around so that I get a new layout and the room looks new hehehe!! For me it could all be done in about 20 minutes as i only have a bed, a studytable, a 5 drawer plastic shelf and a low cupboard in the room - so it was easy. But now that I am married and living on our own apartment, I hardly move the furnitures around. It's been 3 years since we moved into our own place and I think I only moved the furniture once, that's in the 2nd month after moving in. Moving days are gone...too heavy and too many furnitures to move them around so it's stationed there......ehhehe!!!

I and my husband usually move our furniture every three months or more. We tend to reorganize the house furniture and other stuff so that we will have a nice ambiance and new set up. It feels good to see a new arrangement and it allows you to clean some areas you were not able to clean due to heavy furniture. We also found some valuable items we misplaced before. It feels so nice to have a new arrangement because it may provide more space and your items will become more organized.

Most of the time, I do not move the furniture around. Right now though, I am moving. So I am moving furniture and belongings from one house to another. In the new house, I am moving furniture around to make it fit right. It will take some time to get things settled and then I will quit moving things around. I am trying to get organized again. I have been disposing of a lot of things that have gathered over the years. Talk about clutter!!!!

Hi maximax, i do it all the time. I like to sometimes rearrange the furniture, just for a change and as you say it helps one get rid of some of the unwanted stuff that might have accumalated over a period of time. I had a similar experience where i found a finger ring which had somehow got under the cot and was found when we were shifting and moving things around..

i do....although i have few furniture and fixtures because i am a minimalist...i just don't like the clutter-effect in my place..that's why i try not to buy many pieces of decor or any furniture..i move furniture around when i'm in the mood for doing this...like when i want to adapt to a certain mood in my living room just to create a certain ambience..but im into Zen type of atmosphere.

I do sometimes and likethe new feel you get from having things in place but different. Alot of times though the rooms I have dont have many places some pieces of furniture will fit in , so those rooms dont get as much of a change. I do like to change the pictures on the wall, or add a new pillow or something all along just to freshen up the place.

Yeah and for me its a pain when the furnitures in our house are moved around. My mother move the furnitures and appliances like chairs, cabinets, t.v. ref or any else in different locations in our house.

Yes I move my furniture around at least twice a year. Personally, I think it gives a sense of a fresh start and like you said, you clear up clutter and find things that you lost a long time ago. Sometimes depending on how you move around your furniture, it seems to add space. My room seems to grow everytime i move furniture around.

I used to move my furniture around a lot, but this flat's so small that there are only a couple of ways I can have the furniture, so since I've been here, nothing's been changed around much. I am toying with the idea of swapping my bedroom with my dining room though. There's an open fireplace in the bedroom which never gets used, and it would be ideal in a dining room. Plus, the bedroom is bigger, so it would be excellent for seating the family when they come for dinner. Brightest Blessings.

This is a question I often put to my wife, who is a compulsive mover. Our furniture is constantly on the move, and there's never a legit reason, but 'don't you think it looks better?' I just go with the flow.

Yes. In the past when I bought an oven, I found it was difficult to find a place for it. Then I went out to buy a big cabinet. And I moved some funiture at home so that it could fit this new cabinet. So you can see one new oven really changed a lot at my home:) I love China

I am planning on moving my furniture around during the next days. We moved here half a years ago and we have already re-arranged the furniture a couple of times, because we weren't really satisfied with the ways that the rooms looked. Now we going to move the furniture again, as we have just got a new idea. At the moment our rabbits are in the computer room, but there are too much dust and dirt and it is not good for the computers, so we have decided to move the rabbits into the living room.

I like to move things around a lot as well, it makes me feel like I've changed something, and inexplicably happier for no reason whatsoever. I probably move my room around 3 times a year even. My partner hates it as she thinks its ridiculous, and wears out the carpet xD oh well.
