Here is a simple questions for all mylotters. Do you prefer writing with a pencil or pen?? I understand sometimes we dont have choice we have to fill some important forms or application forms in pen. But what about leisure writing what do you prefer??
I prefer pens though pencils have more advantages. Its just that i have been writing with pens for a looonng time and pencil does not suit me very well now.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day :D

I guess I would have to say that I prefer writing with pens more often than I do with pencils. I just think it looks cleaner and half the time when I go to find a pencil they are all broken from the kids using them for homework during the week. I hate the smeared look that you sometimes can get from pencils. I have to write in either blue or black ink the most though. I am not a big fan of colored pens unless it is red, I do like red ink.

well i think i prefer a pencil rather than a pen, i got really good looking pencils which are of 0.5 thin leads in them which gives a fine writing so i like to write with it. but i have been writing only with pens for a very long time from now, but still at home most of the times i use pencil. i just love its grey silver shine colours and its rough soft voice while writing.
happy mylotting.

I much rather write with a pen but I am not sure why. Pencils have erasers so if you make a mistake you can fix it without scribbling it out.. So you would think everyone would choose a pencil over pen but I think to write with a pen is much smoother

I am really picky with pincels and pens. I would rather write with a pen, but I am also picky on the type. I like pins with the rubber grippy thing. So i like the .99 bic pens.
Pencils, well, most people like the mechanical, but i hate them, they break so easily, so i like the regular plain #2 pencils.

I almost never use a pencil. I don't know why...I just don't care for it. I'm a pen user and I'm very particular about my pens. If I find a pen that I like, I;ll buy a few of them and I stash them in my purse. I have daughters and I know if I leave them by the desk then little by little they'll just disappear. So I keep my favorites in my purse and the ones that I don't care about go in the pen holder by the desk. Even those disappear pretty rapidly.

I like writing with pencil, I do not know why, I think that using a pencil to write, the words look, but I think I am more able to grasp the pencil.

Pens. Hands down. The only time I ever use pencils is when I draw, or it I have no pen and I really need to write something down; But I'll even use a crayon for that.
Pens write smoother and are usually easier to read. Pencils also give off lead residue, and smudge easier than pen(Depending on type). Pens dry quickly, where as a pencil is already dry, so there is a constant threat of smudge/smear.
Anyways. Yeah. The pen is mighter than the sword.. And the pencil. In my view(Not to mention you don't have to sharpen a pen).

Pens are easy to use, people prefer it because of its versatility, but i dont know why i love the smell of a pencil

I think that I prefer pens, regular pencils feel weird I think, it makes my hand feel unbalanced when i hold them. I dont mind mechanical pencils except forthe fact that the lead breaks or runs out pretty quickly. I think that pens usually write alot smoother and the writing looks more professional

I cannot even imagine writing with a pencil. The last time I wrote with a pencil i was probably in kindergarten. I suppose it's a case of what one is used to. Writing with a pen is such a nice feeling, especially writing with a black ball point pen or a gel pen. I like drawing so I use my pencils for drawing and my pens for writing :-)

I like ball point pens. But I have become a non writer with pens or pencils since the computer era started.
Even the grocery list is made, I print it, check which items I need and the only thing the pen does is to make a mark there.
My penmanship has gomne from bad to worse but now I just don´t care. I don´t write love lotters anymore and if I did, I´d e-mail them

Interesting question! I prefer pencils when I am writing personal notes or studying. I am a little obsessive-compulsive about not making mistakes, so it helps to be able to write with a pencil since you can erase and correct them. If I need to fill out forms I pick pens though, as you mentioned it in your text we don't really have a choice. When I use pens, the ink must be black though; I don't know why but I never liked using blue ink. Have a wonderful day!
