Hello all,
I earn a few dollars here and there online - surveys and ptc. I enjoy writing and would really like to spend some time honing my skills. I've heard good things about Associated Content and Helium. In your opinion, for those who use these sites, which would you reccomend for the newbie? Are there other sites that you've had success with? How much of an "expert" do you have to be in any field of interest to make it in online writing?

From my own experience, I can tell you that Helium is a great site, especially for new writers. I've been paid a number of times by them and have never had a problem. I haven't been as active with them recently but I'm going to put more effort into it now after writing this. The market place is also great for picking up well paid article writing work.
AC offer up front payments which some prefer. With Helium though, you can earn from past articles so if you build up a good number of them and keep adding new ones it can add up to a nice extra income.
You might also like to try Digital Journal who pay you for writing news.
