buying a forum worth when you get so many free?

Hello people,
I have got a counter strike server, so for discussion related to it I was plannign to hosta forum. At first I started a group on facebook, but later i realized it wsnt a very good idea.
Now I have decided to host a forum. I am facing the dilemma whether to BUY a forum with .com domain or just register fr the free ones ...the MILLIONS of free oens which we get.
I mean...whats the drawbak if i get the free one? and whts da advantages for buying the forums?

I recommend you not to buy a forum unless you know how to manage a forum.
you can always try out alot of forums, to name a few, I'll list them below.

And you can get alot of add on with those as well.
Advantages of buying a forum would be people will know you have the purchasing power to buy a forum, well known brand, most have 24/7 support service, and free updates.
