we have this wii fit system and it has this exercise where you are following someone and you are running so i guess my question is this when you are running in place is this a good exercise? can you lose weight this way?

You can lose weight and/or doing just about any exercise. People running on treadmils run in place. Think about that.

Boxing seems like it would be a good one.

I have the wii fit too and I think its a good exercise, its the same activity as a treadmill but just without the equipment. I don't think that running alone can make you lose a lot of weight though, you need to run a lot and you also need to make changes to your diet in a lot of cases.

it is a fun exercise i have only used the fitness part of it a few times i do alot of the sports games which are fun the tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and the boxing. the boxing seems like the best workout out of all the games that i've played on there, cause i am using my arms, legs, etc. my arms will get tired after doing that almost as if i was lifing weights, but it is fun to do. i'm trying to get myself into an daily exercise routine and it seems like the running could be a decent workout too. just was curious if anyone else had tried it too. thanks for your response.

running in place........ Oh wow, I was wondering about that wii fit gaming system, I don't know anybody that has one yet so I haven't really heard anything. But anyways, yes, running in place is a good exercise to do. Not to say that it's as good as going outside and giving you exactly the same benefits as being able to breath in good oxygen and ur heart rate is getting up really high but yeah I would think that it's better than not doing anything at all............ Peace out.
