It was held at a place called Wickham Park. There was close to a thousand folks there. We had US D15 Congressman Bill Posey as one of the main speakers. He did a great job. No Boos there. There were also a couple of local politicians who spoke. The best part was when 20 different folks from the audience were picked out of a hat and given a chance to speak off the cuff. They all did as well as the proffesionals! None of this will be on any TV news station though, or any newspaper. They were not there. No one except us cared. I suppose someone from the Republican Party will give the info to the papers, but we do not know if they will print it. The only person taking proffesional pictures was an ACORN. He very methodically went around and took a picture of each person there, and each license plate in the parking lots. When he was interrupted, he would walk away for awhile, but hten he would be right back at it a few minutes later. There was no stopping him. The only problem with the license plates was that the Travelling Vietnam Wall was brought in at the same time as the Tea Party, so a lot of the cars in the Lots were there for that. Of course a lot of them are Vets so they are on Janet Napolitano's list too! This was in the mid to large range for Tea Parties for Fl and it went unnoticed. At least a third of the Tea Parties on Tax Day in Fl went unreported. Did the same thing happen in your States or is this just a Fl thing like the hanging Chads on election day? Are we just jinxed or what? Shalom~Adoniah

I don't know if a third went unreported but I do know that a little farther south there was a lot of television, radio and newspaper coverage of the tea parties. Just a few links if you're interested in the coverage some other areas of the state received so you don't feel so bummed. These links represent Ft. Myers, Naples and West Palm Beach. I was at the one in West Palm beach and didn't notice anyone from ACORN, which was a shame because I had a folded cardboard sign with me that had a HUGE red arrow on it juuuust for one of 'em. http://www.nbc-2.com/articles/readarticle.asp?articleid=28358&z=3 http://www.winknews.com/news/local/43075417.html http://www.fox4now.com/Global/story.asp?s=10191786 http://www.wptv.com/news/local/story/Palm-Beach-Tax-Day-Tea-Party-protests/6D4iFQrLu0qDzbRuYFUZWw.cspx http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/content/local_news/epaper/2009/04/15/0415_teaparty.html?cxtype=rss&cxsvc=7&cxcat=76 http://www.news-press.com/article/20090415/NEWS01/90415004/1003/ACC

I was just reading the "Official List" on the internet and they left out all of the ones in my area. And now of course the one that we had Sunday will not be recorded anywhere except in our minds. I am glad that you made it to one. I am also glad that you guys didn't get harrased by any ACORNs. They were probably there though, somewhere. They even had their own rallys in some states. Shalom

On the positive side, if the ones in your area were left out then many others were probably left out as well, meaning that even more people than originally estimated are fired up about this. "I am glad that you made it to one. I am also glad that you guys didn't get harrased by any ACORNs. They were probably there though, somewhere. They even had their own rallys in some states." The only thing we were harassed by was a thunder storm but you know how those things are down here...they come and go fairly quickly. There was a very small counter demonstration somewhere I heard, but I never saw them since they chose to stay some distance away.

We were harrassed by ACORNS. There was one in particular who went around and took a picture of every single person there. And then he went out to the parking lot and took pictures of all the License plates. The thing is, the Vietnam moving Wall was here this weekend at the same Park so there were a lot of people there for that and he was taking pictures of their plates too. Shalom
