ok here's what happened our towns local magazine was advertising for writers well after sending my resume and writing samples they asked me to go ahead and write and article for them. For weeks the editor kept in contact with me and had me write an article about how our town has changed through the years. After doing many interviews and putting in hours and hours of research as he asked I finished my article and sent it in only to have him write back a few days later and say oh you know what I showed it to the magazine staff and they don't think you fit in here and don't like the article better luck in the future. Well I was furious and I wrote back angrily stating that I put in hours of hard work for them and now I have to tell all those people I interviewed who were so happy that they would be mentioned in this article that their will be no article. Never heard back from him and now I have a brick wall with my writing. I want to write again but I have been knocked down three times now one by this magazine another by cup of comfort which always shoots me down and by another magazine as well. How do I get back on the horse. I need a boost in self confidence.

I'm sorry Mollyrose... but sometimes that's the way it works. You might just have been one of dozens of candidates they were looking at, and ultimately your long hours weren't enough to put you above the rest of them. Don't let it get you down though. Even if you've been rejected a hundred times, your writing is still good and worth something to somebody somewhere. Find yourself a nice quiet place somewhere where you can really dwell on your writing. Start writing again. Even if the stuff you write is bad, you'll be able to work on it later. The important thing is to get the words out of your head and onto the paper.

Hi Mollyrose, so sorry to hear that. The editor should not do that to you.
Anyway don't waste your writing, I'm sure you can use all the information and re-write into a number of articles to post online.
Those people that you interviewed will be happier to see that the readers from all over the world get to know about them.
