Do you think before you sleep?

Hey mylotters,I have this good one habit of mine which I want to share with you people.Every night,before going to sleep,lying on my bed,I ponder on my activities of my whole day.I think of the things I have done were good,bad or fair.I try to rectify the things from the very next day.
In this way,every day I try to improve myself....
So,do you too have the same habit???

I always fantasize before sleep. I actually have a few stories going on, it's like a TV series lol. When I feel like falling asleep I say "to be continued" in my mind and I'm looking forward to next night haha

I try to recall my activities during the day and try to evaluate my mistakes and congratulate myself with accomplishments. Afterward, I would clear my mind and say my prayer then go to sleep. In this manner I would have dreams either nightmares or fantasized. My mind would be able to rest since it works so hard making a lot of decisions and evaluation.
Unfortunately when I'm really weary once I lie down, I'm asleep in no time.

Heck that is when I do my best thinking is at night..it is so quiet then that I can actually think. There is so much that I have to think about and during the day with everything going on and the kids I don't have time to think it all through. So I will sit and think of everything at night so I can get stuff done the next day. There are times though when I think a little too much and have trouble falling asleep.

I have the same habit too!Now I am a student in college,and I am always busy with my study all day long,so I don't have much time for thinking in the daytime.That is why I keep the habit.I usually think about what I have learned in the daytime and something specail happened to me.I also make a schudle for the next day before I fall sleep,I think it saves me time to follow what I have planned.

I used to have a problem with my mind not shutting down when I was trying to sleep, I would think of some great topics for discussion on Mylot no less! And they would be whirling around in my mind and I couldn't sleep, so what I did was to have a notepad beside my bed so I could jot the ideas down and once they were out of my mind I could sleep! I do it a lot now if I have things on my mind, I write them down and purge them from my mind so it's empty and can shut down so I can sleep!

i don't ponder on my activities but i will practice that too.

very good habit I would say. I also have the same habit. For 10 minutes before I sleep I generally think of all the activities that I have done during the day And I try to analyze what did I do wrong today or what was that I did good today. And as you said I also feel it helps me to become a better person. Also when I wake up in the morning I generally practice yoga for an hour and definitely it has helped me to improve my concentration and peace in life. Dear friend keep up the good work.

Nope, if I think before I sleep then surely my night will be nightmare because negative thoughts come to me like fountain showers. But sweet dreams for you.

but its not only just that that I think about.
I think about everything.
world issues mainly xD
I dont know why, but Ive always sympathized people living in poverty when I go to bed.
I guess it's just because I have a bed and a roof over my head and they dont?
I dont know.
but I just think about absolutely everything.
and to add on to the thing about what happened all day, I also think about what I couldve done to change things or make them better.
like, did I do anything good or bad?
should I have done something I didnt?
did I do something I shouldnt have?
etcetra :)
so I guess you could say I also try to improve myself.
but thats not only when Im going to sleeeping, thats just what I try to do anyways. especially in those times when I just have some time to think. my meditation / alone times I guess. or even throughout the day. at school. at home. wherever, whenever.

Well that really was a good habit to improve your self.
And for me.. My habit is to think what how and when should I do the things I want to do and how I will sacrifice to attain my goals not only for tomorrow but for the next day and future.

I do the same, only when I'm not tired enough, and I often think about what I did during the day and if I did something wrong. Some times when I think about the day when I fell asleep I dream about something I did or see during the day, maybe if you search an answer to something you can think it about before fell asleep and you can find a new way to think it..

I have a tendancy towards overthinking a bit before I go to think - i'll obsess over things I can't really change or panic about the things that are worrying me. I'm happiest when I manage to fall asleep quite quickly, to be honest! I think it's a good thing for your own mental wellbeing to take time to reflect on the days successes and problems, and take stock. If I can do it without getting too worked up, then I do!
