Summer Getaways, local or abroad?

I would go local since i dont have enough money to go abroad. But there will be time for abroad but its not yet now. Next months me and my friends are planning to go to Batangas for beach.

I know that the Philippines has lots of beautiful palm fringed beaches. Island hopping and snorkeling to see the coral reef must be lovely. I live in a cold country in Europe and it is summer here from June to August. If the weather gets hot then the beaches get crowded. There are some quite nice beaches but the sea water is usually very cold. There are some historical villages, towns and cities that are worth exploring. Train fares are expensive. I prefer to travel overseas because I do so adore going to different countries. This year I went to Cape Town and the Garden Route in January, it was summer then in South Africa. Next summer I am planning to go to Canada.

If I go anywhere this summer, it will be local. It's not like I don't enjoy traveling, but money is too tight right now. And exploring around where I currently am will be enjoyable. There are several places just hours away from where I live that would be fun to go to. And as for going abroad, well I don't think I'd enjoy that too much anyway. I hear so much in the press about anti-American sentiments in so many countries...Frankly, I don't want to have to defend myself or my country whenever I open my mouth and someone hears my American accent. But then again, maybe we are only hated viciously in France.

I am not sure what I will do this summer. I may do some traveling or maybe do some things localy. more than likey do some things localy. I visited the phills abut three years ago myself but I did not get to go to the beach. maybe the next time.

I prefer here in Philippines to have summer because there are lots of beautiful white sand beaches especially Boracay, which is one of the tourist attraction here during summer. Besides its cheaper here but rich with beautiful attractions and very worth to visit this summer.

In my country we are approaching winter. Every summer I spend at least a week in one of the many beautiful beaches we have in our long coastline. But in winter I like to have a getaway, if I can at a place where the climate is milder and the sun is shining.
