l like the color of gold
i can use it as my bed or chair
no body will cherish gold if it lost of it value

If gold lost it's value I can see how it would be less desirable.
But I would still enjoy it simply because I like shiny things. And if gold lost all value it would become harder to come by because no one would be selling or mining it then it would become valuable again because it is rare, shiny, and appealing.
