Why is money green?

Why is all paper money green? Why not any other color?

er, what country do you live in? i am live in china ,in my country ,the money has different colors,such as red ,violet,blue ,green and so on.the color of the maximun face value is red.

We have violet which is 100 pesos, orange which is 20 pesos and red which 50 pesos.Green is one thousand pesos.blue is five hundred pesos
