I feel exactly the same with you! If I get a new laptop without Internet. I may think that the laptop is nearly boring and useless. When internet is unavailable, we can only perform some basic tasks such as word editing, design drawings and some others. Very often, we have to use the internet to search information, contact with friends and relatives, check emails and so on. We may feel very inconvenient and uncomfortable with internet.

Frankly speaking me too the same because i work as a software programmer and even at my work place when i need some logic to be implemented, i would search on the internet. Imagine there is no internet and i am stuck up some where during programming, it would have become a daunting task for me to find a logic or helpful documents to complete the task. Apart from that i also started doing some online work now a days, and internet is must for that. So, internet has improved my life a lot better.

without internet most things in a computer become boring and lifeless. In my terms it makes no sense today to have a computer but no internet connection. It feels that we have disconnected ourselves from the outer world. What can you do on a standalone PC? watch movies , listen to music and nothing more. There is no use of such a thing then.

Yup, that would really be useless...imagine...what will I'd do with it? The world is never the same again without the net, so if ever I get my own laptop (I have aleady one, my son's) it should still be hooked to the net, otherwise, it would really be useless...

Like having a new car but you have no driver's license. Pretty useless IMO.

Before internet was available, a computer was a big luxury, on which you can do a lot without being dragged away.
In my other home, I have a laptop, but not connected to internet. There I could be devoted to the translation I started long ago. I need to make the final touch before submitting for editing. The internet is depriving us of a lot of equally meaningful things. I wish I could be locked off from internet for at least one third of the days.
