Racism problem still there in Germany??

Hi there... I am an Indian, I'm looking forward to go to Germany for my higher studies (MS).I heard that Germany has racism problems.Germans will attack other country people who come to settle there in Germany.In 2007 around 50 Germans have attacked 8 Indians and one was seriously injured. Do you know the present situation in Germany?Is racism a major concern to foreigners in Germany.Any information regarding this is helpful to me.Please help he out... Thank you in advance... I think we all have the tendencies to be racist, but for sure there will be a time that all of us can accept the fact that we are all equal. Happy MyLotting!

Yeah!!That time is not far away.Its just common sense that one should have that,we should respect others and we should treat all human beings in the same way.I guess even animals have that common sense.
