What is it about? Why do you keep re-reading that book? What makes you come back to it?

The books I like to read over and over again are Harry Potter books and Anne of Green Gables books. I just like them a lot. They're the kind of books that are worth re-reading and each time I do, it's as if I haven't read the book yet because they still make me cry, angry, and whatever else emotions they evoke from me when I first read them.

There are a couple of series I have re-read several times. CS Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia series has been a favorite for more than 20 years. There are 7 books in the series. They aren't very long and I read them in order every time. I also love the JRR Tolkien series The Hobbit. I read all three in order also. They are both just very interesting and fanciful and engrossing.

I'm so shamed because I almost have no time to read book even once these years, though I always believe that those classic literature or other books are worth reading more and more. I tried to change my situation so as to have enough time to read, but I failed. Hope this situation will change more better this year.

I have three. First and foremost the Bible, I always manage to get something out of it no matter how many times I read it. Second would be The Stand by Stephen King. I have read it more times than should but will read it again. The book is just amazing, you get caught up in Third is Gone with The Wind. A true book that never tires.

I have always reread my books. There is no one book or one author that I reread. The book has to have characters that I want to revisit from time to time. I always find something that I didn't notice when I read it before. No matter how many time I reread a book. I own books that I bought when I was about 12 (I'm over 50 now) and I still reread them from time to time.

Ir's a new book that just came out in March, but it's such a good one, that I'm thinking of re-reading it again today. I was just thinking about it. The book is called Not My Turn To Die (memories of a broken childhood in Bosnia) and is written by a personal friend of mine, Savo Heleta. His story of triumph over war is absolutely incredible.

I generally don't have time to re-read books. If I get to read it once, that is great. I might read it twice if I run out of money for more books, but usually I would only read an audiobook twice. I used to try to read paperbacks and they generally took me over a year to complete.

I keep reading the Bible. I dont read it as often as I should but there is always something new to learn from it! There are times too that certain verses apply more to my situation than they might another time I read it!

Hello wondericequeen, I don't re-read book. I only read once and then, I will sell the book It doesn't matter how much I love the storyline, I will only read it once. I just don't feel excited anymore to read for the second time when I know the whole story, especially how it ends...

I too have wondered why I re-read the same books. I feel that not getting enough books of your liking to make you read other books is the reason. If one have many books of their liking then that person will be reading all those books. But if only few books on topics of your liking is available then people who like to read have no choice but to read the same books over and over again. I too experience this as I have the habit of reading Harry Potter books again and again. I might have read the series more than 30 times. I can't help it. I have got reprimanded for it from my parents as I read the book even while eating.

"Phantom" by Susan Kay. Read over 600 times between 1993 and 1999. I lost count in 99 because I had lost my first copy. I also chronically re-read "The Only Alien on the Planet" by Kristin D. Randle although tis intended for the teen audiences. Each book gives a great insight into the human mind, and how not only society but our family structure plays so deeply into the people that we will become later in life. Each novel goes deep into the psychological aspects of the affects of abuse by family members and neglect by parents and the protagonist of each story is offered a second chance...

The Stand by Stephen King. I just love the book and read it at least once every year or so. The first book I read by him and in my top 5 favorite books of all time list.

i love reading and that is where i get my inspirations. i re-read most of my several motivational books, the one i always and randomly flip pages on is my "art of living". i get the book, flip on any page and i just read that page to get some answers about anything and i contemplate or meditate on it and relate it to my daily living.

The book that I just keep re-reading is Midnight by Dean Koontz. It is one of my favorite books, by my favorite author. Even though I know what happens I still find it exciting every time I read it. It was the first Dean Koontz book that I bought (I had borrowed a couple from a friend) and so I have had it for many years and can just go to my book collection and grab it anytime I need something to read.

Mine is "Los 25 mejores cuentos negro y fantásticos" (something like The Best 25 black and fantastic tales), by Jean Ray, a belgium author. It's an awesome colection, well written, very intelligent and you find from crime to love to vampires to humour... I can find a tale that suits my mood everytime -and they're so good, you can always find something new in them. In english, you can try "Ghouls in my grave", if you want to meet this excellent writer.

I guess I'm weird. I'm an avid reader, but I usually don't re-read books unless I want to remind myself of the details. There are only a few books that I've read more than once. This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti, Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine, Into the Land of the Unicorns by Bruce Coville, Things Not Seen by Andrew Clement, and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer are the ones that come to mind. I think Ella Enchanted is the one I've read the most... but the most would only amount to three times.

I have read "Firestarter" by Stephen King at least twenty times. I find that the intense plot can pull me in even though I know the plot inside and out. This is true of several of his books, but Firestarter is my all-time favorite.
