Should you buy the latest gadget?

Do you think you should buy the latest gadget as soon as it comes out? Or do you think that you should wait until the price is right? I think that electronics fluctuate so much, its best to wait, especially in the recession.
Is this a good discussion? Its my first, I'm still not sure how to use MyLot.

First I say, "yes", this is a good first discussion.
The question might have been asked a million times, but what question hasn't.
Second, I'm with you. I love my electronics and to stay on the edge of things but I like to wait for the price to drop a little.
Everyone wants to be the first to have something. But fail to realize there's always going to be someone who get's it after you've had it.
That's why I go for the underdog products. Like instead of an iTouch get a Zune or something.
