I actually came from a big family, though we are very poor then. We are five girls in the family plus may parents. Though life was not easy then, i still love my family and we are still having fun and happy out of simple things we have. Now that I am about to build my own, i am still hoping to have not just one kid but at least 4. Regardless of the economic status we have at present, how many kids do you love to have?

It is really wonderful to have many kids but the responsibility involve too great, thus we really have to think it through. The future of each of the child your going to have depends on you.
As long as anyone of us could provide their needs not just financial needs then it is alright to beget as much as you can. After all parenting is the most noble job anyone could have.
For me I'd like to keep it to two/three. But we will never, who knows I might have only one or none. Whatever God gives to me I'll be thankful for.

Very well said there katkat! I also think that we should not just consider the financial status of our family but also our capability to look after and love our kids. I two prefer to have 4-5 kids someday. I want so not just because i may afford to love them and give them all their wants but also because of the thoughts that when we, their parents, are gone, there will be enough person that each of them can lean on and be with.

I came from a family with 4 children. It was my mom, dad and us 4 girls. When I started having children, I was thinking that I wanted to have 3 children. After my 3rd, I realized that I wasn't done, so had one more. Now I have 4 children.
I always think about people who say they are going to wait and have children whne they can afford it. I never looked at it that way. If I waited until I could afford them, I would never have had them.

Is that so? Truly, in life, some things happen because it they were plans, but most things happens because you feel doing or choosing it. Some things are just meant. For people whose reasoning were like the one you mentioned, maybe having kids was not really yet their priority. I know a new couple who planned to have this and that first before having kids, for me there are pros and cons of doing so and they are not wrong neither right. They are still young anyway! But for me, after marriage is the starting point of building a family not just a home. Happy mylotting!!!

My parents just had me and my sister. She is five years older than me. I have two sons and am pregnant with a baby girl. It would be lovely to have another little girl after this one but that isn't practical. I live in a fairly small house. I can afford three children but four would be a financial struggle. I love traveling but my teenager son doesn't. I have brought up my toddler son to love traveling and my daughter to be born in June will be given the same opportunity. The more kids I have the more my traveling overseas will cost.

you said that you would love to have four actually but in mind you are worried about the travelling cost, right? what if you have really lots of money would you love to have more than four then? I remember the movie "home alone", given that they can afford many things, i've seen fun in that movie. Happy mylotting!!!!

I like you come from a big family and my dream is to also have four, so far i have only one and from that experience i could have 15!!!! but four is my number, i think i can make it, because even though my first was great, im a little afraid of the next one because when it came time to push her out it hurt. But in the moment you are so focused that you just want her out, (hopefully ill think like that when im delivering the next one :)
