Mine are the stainless steel mixing bowls. My grandmother is the only one I can remember when I was growing up who had a perfect matching set. My mother always used the plastic bowls...and for some reason I prefer the stainless steel ones. Now when I am out thrifting if I come across a set I always pick them up. Because I love the looks of them, the durability and the way I feel like a real cook while cooking or baking with them.
What kind of mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen?

We have the perspex plastic ones for mixing which I find are far easier to clean, I guess it is down to personal preference, but when I have to do the washing up afterwards I find it much easier to wash and clean plastic than tin, I suspect that most people will use plastic nowadays, far easier and cheaper. Off course it's tins that we use in the oven and not plastic LOL!

I have a couple of very old mixing bowls that were passed down through the family but I do not want to break them. I prefr the stainless steel ones too. THey are lightweight to work with and clean up well. I have one spare set I have never opened, but the ones I have have lasted for many years.

Well I have a set each of plastic, stainless, and glass. My favorite are the glass. You can never have enough bowls in the kitchen especially if you love to bake like I do.

Mine are plastic, since we travel so much we use what is easy to pack and take care of. I love stainless steel though, those are nice.

At my house we have all different mixing bowls and we do not have a complete set of anything. We buy a lot of our bowls usually at goodwill and if they are strong and durable usually counts a lot. We use the same ones most of the time usually this big orange plastic one or the big and small ones of the stainless steel ones are good to use for mixing. You must have good mixing bowls for a lot of different things and different sizes are a must have.
