Now, some people just want to be competitive, and they took it so seriously. If you met your ex - girlfriend again, and her current boyfriend is much better than you, financially, in a job, or something else. Would you be jealous? Or you just give a shrug to it?

It would really depend upon why she is your ex and when. If you are no longer together because you just didn't fit or for what ever reason and then she met this other person I would shrug it off.
If however she left you for the new boyfriend then it's a whole different matter. Of course in that case I would feel sorry for the new boyfriend because he may have someone on his hands that is there not just for him but because of what he has or is.
Either way I would not be intimidated by him as I would consider her my past and let it go at that.

Found the only way to avoid those types of feelings is to have a complete break from a past relationship. But yeah probably if I went looking for information and didn't like what I were to find but I know my ex-husband would never find anyone more intelligent than I am, it's just not his nature to look for intelligence when he is so good at looking for dumb and trashy :)))

LOL.. I've been in this situation VERY recently...
I was dumped... and it would seem for a chick that can't spell any better than a 5th grader and looks half crazy... her interests seemed to change rather quickly from what they were into what he enjoyed.. (Yeah... right!). I was EXTREMELY insulted, bitter, and resentful about it. Well she moved on... and his new girl is very intelligent, beautiful, and classy.. and I'm happy for him and not feeling any type of resentment.
