Do you believe there is a God?

universe - just a picture i had in my library. an image that reminds us of how tiny we really are compared to the rest of the universe.

I know that this question has been asked many times but I can't stop thinking about it. I believe faith is important and it sets boundaries and keep you on a path...a positive path I would hope. There are so many religions out there that claims to be the right faith but does it really matter in the end? Why would God allow so many faiths and leave many people in question on whether to believe or not. I'm the type of person who likes to extend my thinking beyond the boundaries because life is still one big mystery that also extends beyond the universe, so to me it doesn't make sense to only set your thinking as far as one's religion allows them. I don't want to come off as an Atheist because I do believe there is a higher power. More like the ultimate source of creation. Whether to believe that source has a conscious of some sort is questionable. At least a conscious in the way that we as humans can only relate to. Since we are less than a speckle in the universe, if theres other beings out there, what do they believe in? Makes you wonder.

God does exist. God has the sum of all knowledge. That is why so few UNDERSTAND! God puts all the secrets of the universe before us. It is up to us to discover. If God implanted all knowledge in us, we would not have WISDOM. Knowledge must be earned. That is how we gain wisdom. Why so many religions? There are a million lessons to learn around religion.

God has given so many religions, because people's tastes differ; their capacity of intake (capacity to grasp God) differs. When you are a child, you tend to believe your parents fully. That belief protects you. You tend to imbibe the values set by your parents initially till you become grown up enough to analyze and question them. There too we make mistakes. In teen age, whatever the parents say becomes unacceptable to us mostly. We think they are curbing our freedom, they are out-of-date, they do not know the current lifestyle and values and hence there is nothing wrong in disobeying them. But when we grow up further and experience life, we think back to wonder after all our parents were right! There may be a different scenario too. Your parents too could be ignorant of certain things, their poor value system might have encouraged you to go on the wrong path; as you grow up and analyze your past with a well balanced wisdom, you may truly find that your parents were indeed bad examples to follow. You may feel charting your own life of moral and ethical values would be better. Likewise, it is always better to start off with faith in your existing religion. As you grow up, you may find some serious faults in it. Like a teenager, you may find your religion too narrow and restrictive. But as you grow up a little older, your opinions may change. You may think that your religion after all is not too dumb. There is also the other possibility. The religion as exposed to you at your young age could have been truly shallow; you want to seek answers to some nagging questions in your religious faiths and you may find that the answers are not truly satisfying to you. At that point of time, you may seek answers to your nagging questions from another religion. As you study the other religion in depth, you may even find the it to be more convincing than your own religion. At that point of time, there is really no need for you to convert to the other religion. As long as you are able to grasp the core of your religious faith, it is now time for you to evolve spiritually. At the exalted spiritually evolved state, all religions virtually converge to one point. At that level, there are no disputes. It has to be experienced. Those who experience the true Godliness, cease to argue.

Yes, I believe in God, definitely. But like what you have mentioned, there are lots of things that have been bugging my mind. And I do respect your opinion for this kind of matter. This one is kinda sensitive though, that you don't want to have debates with, believe me. :) Anyway, I don't believe that a religion can save you, nor I don't know where we even came from. Sometimes, it just makes me think will science ever find an answer to the origin of man or even the world? 'Coz they won't stop searching for answers, as well as prove that there is a scientific explanation for everything. But as far as I'm concerned, this things is just a matter of faith and trust in the Word that will save us. Even though it makes me think, where is he, how can he control this whole universe and such. How does he do miracles at different places, at different times at once, sounds ironic isn't it? But that's my opinion for that. :)

I do believe that God does exist. If it weren't for God, many things in my life, as well as many others, that would not have happened. God exists is all of our hearts, it is up to each of us as an individual to accept Him and serve Him. Once you have accepted Him in your heart, your life will take a wonderful turn, one that you will never forget!
