How long have you been married or togather? / myLot

Almost 5 years here....sometimes it seems longer...and sometimes it just seems like yesterday...my parents have been married for 26 years...

I was married for 11 years. I was married when I was 20, had a child when I was 19. I think it's tough to get married at such a young age. I think your goals and likes and dislikes change so easily when you are so young. It wasn't easy trying to raise a family, struggling to pay bills and rent. My kids are grown now, 23 and 19. I have been living with my boyfriend for about 8 years now, with no plans to marry. What do they call that? ("Living in Sin")?

I so agree with your post....in just the last five years we've both had to adjust...people change....I hope we are able to change but still have a good marriage....we'll see....Congrats on the 8 years!

Just keep thinking about what brought you two together, what kind of things did you do together during the first years that made you the happiest, and then keep doing them as time goes on. Keep the fun things you did together alive!
