One more years ago, I bought a music version Nokia N73 cellphone, its original language version is English, but seller have transfered it to Chinese before it had been sold to me. Several days ago, when I connected it with PC by data wire, system reminded me that there was the latest version software. Of course I should update it because I always thought the latest version must have the most and the best functions. When I completed the update following with the instructions, I disappointedly found that it couldn't show Chinese character any more, all of them just showed as "?" symbols on the screen if the characters were Chinese, oh my god, I really didn't know how should I express my feeling. Now this problem still don't be resolved by me, is there anybody can tell me how to resolve it?

You can try to hard resetting your phone. If after updating your phone can't displaying chinese characters anymore, i think all you need to do is installing the chinese fonts to your phone. Some chinese writing related software for symbian s60v3 (which is N73's platform) can easily be found on the internet, especially in some Nokia's forum. I also have a N73. I do flashing the firmware to upgrade the software version. You can download the latest firmware for APAC since you want to use chinese characters on your phone. Some technical knowledge required. Good luck for you and happy mylotting :)

Thank you very much, but acttually speaking, I don't have much more technical knowledge, especially about software, what a pitiful man I am! If I couldn't resolve the problem, maybe I should go to the Cellphone Repair Shop to update it, do you agree with me? Hehe~

You can go to Nokia Service Centre. Find the nearest one with your place. Sometimes somewhere its named Nokia Priority Centre. I think you'd better go to authorized service centre. The Nokia authorized service centres have original warranty seal so they would replacing the seal which broken on your phone during repairing. The seal is worth enough when you want to trade in your old mobile with a new one. Mobile phone with original warranty seal will get higher price. Hope this information useful for you. Have a nice day. Good luck.
