All our Filipino boxers won their respective fights in the just concluded "The Flash and The Furious" boxing bill and the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, QC. It was a successful event co-promoted Bob Arum's Top Rank and Wakee Salud's Promotions. All of the Filipino boxers won impressively by winning via KOs and TKO. Denver Cuello scored a knockout victory as well as Drian Francisco.
The second support title bout between Brian Viloria and Ulisis Solis went through 11 rounds where Viloria hit Solis with a perfectly timed right hook that sent Solis to the canvas and wasn't able to get up again. The victory made Viloria the new IBF light-flyweight and now two time champ.
The main event ended early with Nonito Donaire scoring a TKO. Martinez was down twice in the first round. In the second round he was down again and finally in the fourth round he was down again. After that KD in the fourth round the referee ended the bout.
The victories of the fighters was sensational. It just proves that we don't just have Manny Pacquiao.

Yup another great victory for Pinoys in the Boxing Arena. I am glad that they all won the bout. I was not just able to watch the fight myself as we were out during the time of the fight. I am pretty sure that ones of these may be following the footsteps of Manny already.

Although I am one with you in celebrating and praising the victories of the Filipino fighters I think it's only Nonito Donaire has what it takes to follow the foot steps of Manny Pacquiao. He is fast and strong which is something that Viloria doesn't have much. Cuello and Francisco are still young but I don't see any qualities that can be compared to the Pacman. Yes, they are still to be proven but you can already see what their styles are. I believe they should have a better trainer. If you will watch their respective bouts you'll see what I am pointing out. I don't want to degrade them but that's just an observation in their fighting styles.

That was so sensational! Brian Viloria redeemed himself well on that fight. Solis is way better than viloria's previous opponents that defeated him. That was a different Brian that I saw. He was so active and his chin was solid. He deserves that win and knocking his opponent out late is a very big bonus.
I was also surprised on how Donaire battered Martinez. The mexican fighter is undefeated and I saw lots of his previous fights and he performed well. I thought his match against Donaire will be closed by Nonito refused to. He floored his Mexican rival 4 times in 4 rounds. Such a brutal and dominant fashion..

Although Brian's win is impressive and great his style still doesn't change. He still lacks that jab, head and body movement, foot work, and notice in the later rounds Brian gets tired. I hope that Brian's trainer will work that one out so that Brian will be more competitive. Yes, I am surprise at Donaire's bout. It appears to be a very easy fight for Donaire. Cobrita was trying his best to defend himself but whenever he plans or throws punches to Donaire Donaire catches him with a left hook, straight lead, and upper cuts.

Yes, our countrymen gave pride again to our country by demolishing their opponents. Donito Donaire is really sharp and accurate, even his opponent has very good defense, it has not been a problem for the Filipino Flash, his speed and accuracy really been a superb advantage and made the Snake a Worm. I'm also happy for Brian Viloria for bringing himself back on Championship level. He is so competitive and focused that's why the Mexican Champion was been knocked out. That Hawaiian Punch that made the Mexican Champion kissed the canvassed was really a pleasure to watch. It's so unfortunate that I haven't watch Cuello's fight, he's one of my favorites. Every punches he throws are all power bombs. Congatulations to our Filipino boxers. They simply made us proud!

Yes, Cobrita has good defense. His gloves are up and his arms near his body but Donaire was able to penetrate his defense. I live his off-balance left upper cut that sent Martinez to the canvas that led to his end. I think Viloria is still the same. His style has not change. He still lacks that jab, head and body movement, and foot work. If Brian wants to stay as a champion for a long time he better improve those skills. He also get tired in the later rounds. But Solis being careless paid the price. Solis knows that he is behind in points so he resorted to get toe-to-toe with Viloria. Solis abandoned his jabs and was coming forward that's why he got knocked-out by a perfectly timed right hook by Viloria.

Hi AltheGreat2430!
This victories have once again proven our greatness in the sport of boxing. The way our boxers have won in "spectacular and sensational" manners have once again made the world look upon us.
This batch of young boxers will continue the legacy of Filipinos when Manny Pacquiao finally decided to hang his boxing globes.

Indeed it was a happy day for all of us Filipinos...I watched the fight and I really enjoyed. We have so many Paquiaos in the making. Boxing seemed to be our top sport of today. It surpassed our enthusiasm in Basketball. It's just right, considering the honors this sport brought to our country. I just hope the government would give support not only to the known boxers but to those beginners as well. Congratulations to Donaire and Viloria and the other boxers and thanks to their good trainers too. May they continue to bring honors to our country.

April 19 is indeed a great day of victory for the Filipinos. Four for four fights and two championships at that. The country is celebrating until now. The television coverage of the motorcade of the boxers in Quezon City showed lots of fans lining the street in great jubilation.
Well, Pacquaio is Pacquaio. We don't know yet if any of the victorious fighters last Sunday can reach Pacquiao's popularity and earnings. We can only hope though that these boxers will be handled by other "Freddie Roachs" and will always give their best to give more accolades for the country.

Another Filipino fighters won sad to say I don't have a chance to watched their fight because I'm busy that time. I'm happy that they gave our country another victory beside Pacquiao. The sad things is why their so many politician appearing on the boxing arena like what happened in Pacquiao fights. I think there are present because of the bet that are happening there.
