Even when the trip only last 2 hours,I still feel sleepy and I will sleep for about an hour in the plane,I thought it should be fun to look out the beautiful sky through the window in the first place but the fact is I just feel sleepy and not be that exciting as I thought.

Hi Ktosea,
I feel sleepy no matter i am in a plane or in a car, as long as they are moving, i feel sleep. Sometimes i feel so embarrassed because i felt asleep while my boss and the customer are still awake in the car!

Traveling by plane doesn't make me sleepy but it does make me feel like throwing up so I prefer sleeping through the travel. That is why I avoid caffeine before the flight and I try to make myself really really tired :D I try to skip a few hours of sleep just so I would be able to sleep during the flight.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Yes, I feel sleepy. But I don't want to sleep in plane. Because this journey is of very short duration and i don't won't to wast time only in sleeping when I am in plane.

I have difficulty falling asleep during flight, even on pretty long flight. I would take advantage of the high pressed oxygen. Deep inhalation of oxygen emitted from overhead makes me refreshed. I usually read during the flight, and also enjoy the meals and drinks. But in case of bad weather, things would be totally different. In that case, I have to take a pill, which helps me to calm down or fall asleep.

I guess the sight of the clouds outside and the movement of the plane lulls you to sleep. Don't worry, you're not the only one who experiences this. As for me, even if it's a 2-hour, traffic-free bus ride, I still tend to sleep during travel. I find it very relaxing, for some reason.

I don't think I can find time to get sleep. I mean even if it is for 2 hour there will be attendants in plane who would be serving your food and all. That would take half an hour or so. Then you will take another half an hour to complete the food. So, You will get only 1 hour to spend. I have travelled only once and I was busy in giving a look to the outside from the window, so, I didn't feel sleepy at all!

I haven't been on too long of flights so there isn't enough time to really put me to sleep. I think I feel more of the after effects when I fly - jet lag then wanting to fall asleep when I get on a plane.

I travel often between Montreal and Vancouver, it's a five hour flight but seems like a whole day. The first time I took the trip I found it pretty exciting and kept on looking out the window but every other time after that, it was so boring that I couldn't help but yawning constantly and eventually fell asleep. So now I just bring a book or my music player and close my eyes as soon as we take off. If I am lucky, I fall asleep and if not, I just keep shuffling around wishing it will be over soon, lol!
