Think about this issue. Is reading gives you any satisfaction or it is just way of doing time pass for you. Why you do reading. Is always you read only for time pass or only you read because you want to spend your time.
Is after reading some new thing you feel satisfied or you just want forget all the things which your read within a week. Is reading is your practice or you are reading because you have to read. What are the different things you learn from reading in past one months. How much you satisfied with that or how much you time pass with that.
Think more about that how reading changes your life at all. Is you can think your day to day life without reading new stuffs.
How you react if you get some desired or new good reading material.
So share here your opinion about this issue.

Oh wow. I love reading. I have ever since I was a little kid. I read for fun, not just to pass the time. I can't imagine not having reading in my life. I think it's a great way to expand my mind and to have a great source of entertainment. I read all kinds of books. The only ones I don't particularly enjoy is sci fi, not sure why, just never have.

I read any type of book that I can get my hands on. I read true crime, romance, biographies, and everything else. My first choice when I have time to read would have to be any mystery type book.

What types of books you read. Is you read novel or you like to read only motivational books. What is your first choice when you have sufficient time for reading.

Reading give me satisfaction in what I am reading ,I read because I like to read and it does pass off time like when you are waiting in the doctors office. When you are trying to get sleepy enough to go to bed.You can keep on learning about things when you read different topics. You can find books on anything you are wanting to know.

i read because i love to read. i learnt a lot of things from reading. mind you, it's the fictional books that i learnt the most. it has coem to my attention that fictional writers employ a team of researchers to research on everything in the book. that's how we are able to visualise the details in the book. because everything in the book is closely related to the reality. it is especially interesting when the main character of the book has a rare occupation. jobs like coroner or medical specialists are very interesting because it offers a glimpse into a job that i would otherwise never have seen.

like many, it's actually both for me, though if i did have to choose one, it'd be satisfaction. if it's newspapers i'm reading, i feel satisfied or rather happy i guess that i am updated on the recent events that is happening around the world. if it is storybooks, then the new words that i learn make me happy and smug (grins) also, i love the stories and so when it ends, i'm usually so satisfied with the ending, it kind of makes me feel sated you could say hehe same goes for manga (japanese comics) that i read online daily. including the pictures, it allows the romantic in me to dream of things that would never ever happen in reality.

Is you feel that your day is incomplete if you not read paper . Newspaper reading is like addiction for anybody. If you have this hobbu then you read paper in every morning at any cost.

In my opinion, reading for doing time pass is pointless. If the goal is killing time, thinking in nothing, watching television is a good choice.
If the fictional universe of a novel doesn´t catch me, the solution is simple: I don´t keep reading. But before making such a drastic decision I always give the book a chance. I usually read the first quarter of it because I am fully aware of the fact the author needs some space to built his (or her) dramatic premises. But if I don´t like the novel beyond that limit, I put it aside and turn on the TV.

Think when you have to wait for someone in office. Or when you trael some distant place. At this time most of the people read only for time pass.

well, reading always gives me satisfaction
since i have a fertile imagination , every time i read a book it is like the first time, even if i have read the book several times before,
i can still feel the rush of reading a book for the first time,
then the sweet sensation of savoring every word the second time i rea, and the times after that,
reading is a pleasure to me,
i like it...very much

If you don't like reading much then how can you attain satisfaction from reading. Satisfaction comes only after need and need is result of wish.

"If I am reading it, then why not enjoy it." this inspires me to enjoy what I read. I make sure what I read should add to my knowledge whatever small fraction it may be. I usually get very little time to spend time for reading, but I make sure it is of value to me. So, I would like all to gain from it and not just do it for the sake of it.

I love to read. 99% of all books are better than the movies based on them. It leaves more to the imagination. It keeps you sharp, and it helps you to continue to grow throughout your life. Reading is definitely an enjoyable activity for me. I've been reading since I was a child, and I never had to be made to do it (unless it was a history book!).

Hi,neerajpandey_13
Reading gives me satisfaction.I love reading, reading has been a hobby for me since I can read...I read books for knowledge, for idea.I want to learn from books.SOmetimes I was upset by something bad happened to me,and I will turn to books to calm myself.Books keep me stay postive and tell me many useful tips. When I get some desired material,I usually will stop everything I am doing and focus on the book till I have read it through. After reading,I will think about what I have got from the book and what is useful in my daily life,it is helpful I think.
Have a nice day and enjoy reading!

i am not a bookworm. so reading books doesnt give me a lot of satisfaction. though story books do keep me engaged, and i enjoy reading them. if a story is that touching then i may keep pondering over it for a few days and then it goes away from my mind. i read because i have to read. i do it as a duty. thats it. doesnt hook me at all.

I love reading and I do a lot of reading. I am mostly interested in metaphysical topics and psychology. Therefore, most of the material that I read is to learn. I am always satisfied with what I read, because of the simple fact that I don't read for fun or passing the time - I read to gather information. I also like to read more than one book at a time because I can combine everything together while I read and this allows me make sense out of certain subjects more easily. If I find a particular passage in a book that I absolutely want to remember, I copy it in a little notebook and re-read it several times to have it committed to memory. In the past month, I have learned a lot about lucid dreaming and I have started to practice what I have read - it has been a wonderful experience thus far!

I enjoy reading because it gives me satisfaction (which, to me, is the only real reason to do things in life). I love to learn, and books provide a ready source for knowledge. In the past month I've learned things about human ancestors (including that there is apparently a heated debate in anthropology about whether or not our ancestors were prey to other animals? And to think I thought it was a no brain question and didn't even realize it was such a highly debated issue!). Through reading, I've also learned a lot about poetry writing, too. Reading poets like Mark Strand and Stephen Cushman helps me recognize what is universally good for a poem and what things I simply don't like in poetry. It also keeps me up to date on what contemporary poets are doing and what sorts of things modern readers like.

I love to read...it is more of a passion with me. But there are phases when i simply do not touch a book....and then there are others when i just can't stop reading!! I feel, every time one reads a book, one learns something new. I have learnt some things from books that I have read. There have been books that have left an impact on me. It depends on the reader what he/she wishes to learn and keep. I have learnt about places, people, even history of some places from books.I can read for hours and forget about other things. Finishing every book gives me satisfaction.

I love to read it is an enjoyable way to pass the time and learn something most of the time. New things magizines are good to read for me but I also like to read some books more than once. Especially if it's a good mystery. I write articles now but I hope to write a book soon.

I would not read just to pass the time. I look forward to reading and never find enough time to do it! I would waste my time on mylot if I didn’t feel like reading. I only get to read some nights at the end of the day before I fall asleep. Reading is like the dessert of my day.
