I am sitting at a busy airport right now watching people running/walking to their respective gate to board. I have noticed that many don't care so much on how they match the colors on their outfit.
Right now a lady passed by wearing a dark brown coat on a navy blue dress. Would it be more elegant if she wore a beige or something of a lighter color dress?
Oooops, here comes a man with a red necktie with flowery prints!
Well, what is your opinion?

of course,I think it necessary to pay attention to our appearance, for good appearance can leave good impression.what you wear come into other's sight first and leave the first impression which is obviously important.the color of your clothing should match,or it can make others feel uncomfortable. So everyday we should take some time to attention our appearance.

I focus on my clothes. I don't normally wear accessories. I don't have the time or patience to think about that.

I have a hand bag, right now that is black with a design on it that has three other colors...purple (my favorite color), a burgundy color and I think a green, so it matches with most things that I wear. I usually use one purse until I get tired of it. I don't switch them around to match my outfits. If I happen to go somewhere that requires an "evening bag" I have one that I use (it's black).
I'm not working outside my home right now, so my shoes are casual most of the time.
When I was working, I mostly stuck with black shoes.
Scarves, I don't use.
When I think accessories, I do think purses and shoes, but I also think earrings, bracelets, necklasses and hair accessories. I don't use much of those. I do, but very rarely.

According to me one should not just go for the clothing but should also match the right accessories. The color combination of the clothes with the accessories is a must.It not only enhances the look but also makes you feel good and confident.Though its a different thing if you like to be simple and casual with mix-n-match or mismatch your clothing(with 'who cares' attitude)then its perfectly ok.
Actually it depends person to person. What I like might not be right to you and vice-versa.I can only say dressing up should be decent and not comic or awful.

I mostly focus on my clothing. I have to have it match. I don't wear alot of accessories so thats not a big deal to me. Most of the accessories that I do have goes with just about everything anyway. I'm trying to teach my daughter how to match her clothes right LOL she has no problem putting on purple shorts with a red shirt of something odd ball like that.

both...some people though they usually...dont really care if it looks good on them...they wear what they think that looks good on them....and theres a big difference between what you think....and what you see.....there are magazines and tv shows....that actually teach you how to dress properly....you dont need expensive ones...its how you style it to make it glamorous...

But you must agree that a proper attire to an occasion is a must or?
As I have written to one of responses, I did not raise this question up to criticize anyone with their choice of clothing. But I wanted to find out how much attention a person does put when it comes to his/her attire.
Precisely, as you say we are bombarded by the media on how to dress properly. But how much focus do we really give ourselves on it.
Exactly, no need to buy expensive ones. I can only agree.
I appreciate your response. Thank you.

Yes sometimes I also notice people who match dress in a not-so-good-to see way. But we all have different ways of dressing up and different views on what is good and what is not. So I just told myself that well, that is the way she wants her outfit to be or that is the color and design he wants for his tie. Some really catches my attention and I just smile on my own because they make my day. They make my day because they are unique and I felt happy because of the weird clothing combination. I do not mean to offend them but then they are the ones who want to be unique. Anyway when I dress I would rather dress simple than dress something that catches attention of others.

OH NO! I did not publish this to criticize how people dress but the awareness on how you dress. I also have my point of view to those who "make my day" outfits.
Sometimes we dress depending upon our moods. This may reflect on one's personality and to each is own right?

I do focuse on both. I care veyr much what I wear when I go out, wear the right clothes and accessories at the right occasions. And I think it is one of my hobbies too, mix and match the clothes and stuff. However, I think some people has no sense of doing that, they just pout on whatever and think it s okay.

Honestly I dress like them before.I really don't bother what other people will say about the colors that I wear, all I care about is that I'm very busy and I'm comfortable with the clothes I wear. Now that I'm already single and working I try to keep up with the trend that I see with my co-workers and the magazines. It will really help in boosting your self-confidence if you look good in what you are wearing, specially if the colors match!LOL!

I think that people should care about what they wear, how they look, and how they act. All of these tells a lot about a person. I can tell if a person is a thug, hard worker, don't care, nasty, neat, lazy ect.. so is very important to keep your self fresh and clean with up to date style.

what you told is true that we should also take care of the accessories we wore along with the clothes. Likewise i never bear dark color belt with the dark color trouser , there is no use to wear that as no one going to look at that one.

I am not sure about you but I only own one coat and it is not going to match everything I own. These days travel is more about comfort, have you watched the airport in a college town most of those young adults will show up to the airport in their PJ's and change after they get throught security. I would love to dress in fashion but that cost so much money and I feel it is a waste. I have found that many people do not realize that they do not match and many are color blind.
Personally I will wear jeans and a t-shirt when I travel on a plane because I usually travel with a young child. I have metal in my spine and always have to have extra security done.
