As a teacher, sometimes,i think the students always consider me as the enemy, when i ask the students to do the homework or answer the question in the class, they have a great antipathy, in fact, i just want them learn something in the class, however, they can't accept! what is the reason?

It depends really on how each behave with the other. In ancient India, there was a cult of sending young boys to stay and study at the home of teachers (much like our modern boarding schools) so that the relation could develop more as a father and son and the teacher could selflessly give all his knowledge while the student accepted everything from the teacher (punishments included) without any questions.
Those days are gone…now its more of a professional relation. Although in school you can expect some obedience and respect from students, in colleges, it is best to leave them to themselves and teach what you are supposed to and leave. More than that is wastage of time.

though a teacher is decided as an enemy with the student, but i think he has a great performance to make a student becomes better. a teacher should have a braveness, patient to face all of kind students. they can't accept maybe caused by their paradigm (teacher is enemy) so they give no more attention to the teacher.

lol I understand what you are saying. I'm not really sure why some students feel that way. Maybe it's because they are young and want to rebel against authority, against anyone that is telling them what to do. I remember not liking homework when I was younger because I could be doing other fun things instead of doing homework. I got older however I started to realize the importance of teachers and homework. Now I know that teachers are there to help you and make you a better person (if they do their job right). There are some teachers however that don't allow for open discussion with the students and therefore the students feel like their side of the situation is not being heard or considered.

I don't agree with you, we are not treat the teacher as the enemy but an elder with respect. I graduated from university last year. I think you can treat your student as friends not a student, try to understand what we are thinking. We have our own thoughts. We need the teacher leading us. Above all, we are just kids.
Maybe the way you teaching is not well.
Happy mylotting, I love China.

As a student,I have the same thought with others.First,we all konw what most of the teachers do is for us.Second,it's nature that we really don't like to do homework.when we show a great antipathy, besides the second reason, maybe we don't like the teacher.there're many reasons why we don't like a teacher.for example, the first impression is not good.the teacher is slovenly dressed or speak unkindly or isn't considerate of students.
the teacher should be the friend of students and also have prestige!I think there is something wrong with the way that you get along with them.
you'd better let them know what you think.

the relation between the student and the teacher is great than any relation
teacher is the third person to receive the respect
first the mother
second the father
third the teacher
the teacher is the first person happy if the result was good and sorrow if the result is bad
the world looks as u see think positively that the teacher is making me to learn the things by showing some fear all the best
