on my last birthday that is the year we got married when my husband was in abroad he called me sharp at 12pm to greet me on my birthday,i was extremely delighted because that was the first time i was getting a greeting at 12 in the night........second thing i did not expect that he would call me in the midnight.from that day onwards i too started calling my close friends in the night and greeting them but my dad tells me to call during the morning hours and greet them as it would not disturb anyones sleep,so has any of our mylot friends tried calling their beloved ones at 12pm?

You mean greeting a person in his/her birthday during the 12pm? Yes, I do that most of the time with my friends. but since some have different time lines, like some do it in advance, i am always told am either 5th or 10 person that greeted him/her. but luckily, i get to tell my hubby first happy birthday before anyone else. if some one greet him first i get jealous..

for me it's a bit unethical.

I have done that thing several times already. And there were people who have done that to me, too. I agree with you that it is great to be greeted at the instant of your very special day. It's one of the most wonderful things in this world.

I have done that many times already and i have set my cellphone to wake me up at 12 midnight of April 29 so i can greet a friend in church on her birthday. My alarm will sound again on April 30 because it is my husband's birthday and i usually sing to him the birthday song. The other times i do that to some friends were through text messages that they can read in the morning when they wake up if they were still sound asleep as their phones get my message.

yes, i do that with my husband and close relatives,
my parents along with the entire household of about 7 other persons woke up in the middle of the night 12 o'clock and screamed the birthday song to me, they could'nt reach me by phone at the time, when they told me i cried, i was so touched. it gives a really good feeling, you know someone loves you and is thinking about you.
however maybe not every one will like it.

Of course,I don't forget any friends or family members b'day.I keep a reminder on my mobile a day before each one's b'day and ring them up at exactly at their magic hour.In fact everyone likes being wished particularly at their big day at midnight and the joy in their voice is so pleasant to hear.It gives great satisfaction by seeing that you made them happy at their day.Hope you will also continue doing this to everyone.Don't think about disturbing them, they are supposed to be disturbed at that day and they will love that too.Happy mylotting.Keep posting.

you said 12pm at night but I really think it is suppose to be am cause its morning already.secondly i wonder what he will great you whether good morning or good evening.coming to the aspect of disturbing its really not good to wake someone at the middle of the night just to great the person cause there are people that have the problem of when they wake at night the can never sleep again until its morning.so what your father said is absolutely right.

I got a bit confused with what is the real time you were trying to explain. I think you mean 12 midnight and not 12 pm, am I right? I think there is nothing wrong calling our love ones in those times to make it clearer at 12am or 12 midnight. I have done those things before and I do not care if I have disturbed the person I am calling. Besides my reason is very important and it is usually a birthday greeting. I like it when I am the first one to greet and I feel happy when the receiver felt delighted. Also I have tried receiving calls at 12 midnight and I do not felt mad or disturbed. Besides we can always inform the caller if we are already sleeping or we want to postpone the conversation. Some may have disturbed others who are having difficulty getting back to sleep again but apology will make them feel better. Anyway we should just call people who we knew would not get mad at us when we call them at 12 midnight.
