Do you have driving licence? is it necessary for everyone?

I've had a Driver's Licence for many years and I can't imagine living without one. Along with my own car it has been wonderful being able to go wherever I want without relying on someone else, it gives me independence. My sister does not drive and she is always procrastinating about getting a licence; she won't appreciate how great it is until she is driving! Driving without a licence should not ever happen!

I've had my license since I was 16, but I am in the U.S. where it isn't that hard to get one

Hello Dasari100, Yes, I do have a driving license which I got in 1999. So, I have been driving for a decade! I think it is a necessary for us to have a driving license. It makes life easier especially when you have to travel a lot and during emergency time.

I don't have a DL with me right now. I don't thin it is necessary for me this time because I don't have a vehicle with me and wha is a need of DL if I do'nt own a vehicle which runs on oil. I am using my bycycle and happy with it till now.

waaaa i still dont have, because i dont know how to drive and i dont have a car yet, maybe i will get some if i will study driving. LOL and yes its true, its very important. dont worry i will get it soon... very soon. LOL

I don't know how to drive so I don't have a driever's license yet. If ever I am going to drive a vehicle (after my driving classes) I will get a driver's license for sure as I want to be a lawful and abiding citizen. Every driver needs to have a license.

Yes, I have a drivers' license. It is illegal to drive without one. I can't imagine why people do that as it will only lead to trouble if they get caught without one. Are you not required to get one in order to drive?

Driving without a driving license is an offense in my country. Getting a driving license is not easy neither cheap. Before a person can learn driving on the road he must attend a theory class and learn practical like changing car tyres and checking fitness of the car before he can learn to drive on the road. Unlicensed road users are dangerous drivers as they can cause accidents if they do not know the regulations of the road safety.

I do have a driving license. It is really important to have one when you drive considering that you can never tell when an accident may happen. You will definitely be in big trouble if you drive without having a drivers license in our place. I have been driving for the last 12 years when I started working and until now I do drive my car or sometimes my motorcycle.

In the USA you need to have a DL to legally drive, if not, you'll get a ticket.

Hi Dasari! I do have one. There is a great penalty involved here if you drive without one so most people get them. The age here to get one is usually 16 and when they turn 16 they are ready to get one..lol..I think that 16 is a little young to get one and be driving but that's just my opinion. The police here wet up what they call road blocks and check the license Of everyone that passes through. If they don't have one..they will not let them drive. If they can't find someone to come and get their car right away..they will tow it away to an impound. There is an expensive fee to get it out..plus the money for a ticket. Sometimes they will take you to jail if you've been caught more than once. It's better to have one.

I have my two wheeler drivinfg licence from last 3 years & I am driving motorcycle.So I am happy that I have it is, It is registered for next twenty years, so not worry for expiration & renew it after 20 years. happy Driving lol.

I don't think it is necessary for everyone, especially if public transportation is available in their area, or they can get from place to place by other means, like riding a bike or walking. Plus, driving isn't for everyone. So they rely on other forms of transportation. As far as myself, I think it is very necessary to have a driver's license, seeing as I live out in the middle of nowhere! LOL But even if didn't, I love having my license, because I can drive myself somewhere without relying on someone else to do it for me.

Dear friend, I do hope driving should be made as a part of school or college studies, so when the student passes either 10th grade or 11th grade that student should be passed driving test also if not he should be given a chance in 12th grade class. I hope instead of licence just show the passed 10th or any above class identification and those who had not gone to schools or college may be given a special licence. Hence I feel all those who are above 40yrs could easily be analysed.

Hi there Dasari100 I do have a driving licence to drive a car and a motorcycle too. I would hate to have to take my test now as it a lot more expensive and there are a lot more things to do for the test than I had to do when I took mine!

I have a driving licence, but I haven't used it much. I hate driving and I am definately not very good at it. I failed my drving test many times and I was very close to giving up, but I was too stubborn to give because I felt that I would have wasted a lot of time and money if I gave up without passing the test. So I continued and in the end I finally passed the test...but my driving licence is not very useful for me, because I hate driving and I always avoid it

Yes!I own a driving license for two wheelers.It is a must for anybody who come on roads mounting any vehicle.A license holder is expected to know the traffic rules and bound to abide with it.But the sad part is even license holders ignore the traffic rules and drive with crazy minds.

I have one but right now I do not drive because I do not have a car. I plan on getting one real soon but walking is really good for you. I like that I do not have to pay for gas and car insurance though. Take care and happy mylotting to you as well.
