was unable to eat his breakfast. Ever had that happen? How often are your eyes bigger than your stomach? My hubby mad an omlette and some sausage for breakfast. Then drank a large coffee and couldn't eat the food. It's sitting in the fridge. I know he will eat it when he gets home.

That happens to my sister all the time. She loves food and can get really enthusiastic about it, but seldom finishes what's on her plate. We sometimes joke and say she always needs to take a break in the middle of her meal, but often it's just too much for her.

Sometimes yes. That can happen to me or my husband. I think it happens with children also. Making too much food or putting too much food on the plate can end up being a waste especially if no one intends to eat it.
It sounds like you had the right idea in saving it in the fridge. It can always be heated up later.
I think that having a large cup of coffee can possibly do something to stave off hunger and made your husband too full to eat anything.
It is good to know that he will eat it when he gets home if he is hungry.
Sometimes I make a big dinner and my husband comes home and is not hungry because he might have already grabbed a bite somewhere while he was out. He is a truck driver and sometimes has to quick get something on the go.
Now it seems that if I don't have something ready for dinner then he is looking to eat and complains he's hungry! Take care.

Hi friend and thank you for the vote of best response. I do feel that it is very important to save food and not let it go to waste.
I have learned in the past that every little bit of food can be saved and heated for later.
Even putting things in a container and placing in in the freezer for future use is a good idea.
Take care.

Yep that has happened to my hubby since he drinks so much coffee sometimes there is little room left for food. Although he isn't much up for leftovers. I can do the same sometimes. Especially if I drink coffee or hot chocolate first.

The scenario of eyes being bigger than one's head occurs rather frequently, I think. When I was a young man, however, I could eat quite a bit of food at a sitting. Now that I'm older not only my stomach but also my knowledge of my expanding waist function to limit my eating habits. :)

I do that all the time. I will cook a meal for the family and be starving but by the time it's time to sit down and eat, i'm not hungry anymore. My husband get's so mad at me but after cooking for 20, 30, sometimes 40 minutes of being hungry, my body just over looks it and moves on, lol... I usually get hungry again with in an hour or so, so then I get my plate and eat what I can.
My husband does this at times too.... he will say lets go hit a buffet because I could get a whole pig alone.. we'll get in there and he'll make his first plate and eat it and then when he get's up to make his second, he will come back with very little because it's like once he get's up he can't eat no more. Which is a godo thing but as buffets are getting so expensive, it's a waste of money to even go there anymore.
