is sooooo annoying!! Especially the ones that talk or have the blinkers going! ARG Now it's the Iphone, "Congratulations! You've been selected to receive an apple Iphone" NO THANK YOU once, twice, three times, and so on and on!! The first time I heard it, I liked to have jumped out of my skin! It scared me silly! So what makes them think that I'd buy something that'll scare me half to death? DUH?! Deg gone it mylot, stop these advertisements, they're very annoying! We're trying to enjoy our time here on mylot and not be scared out of our skins! Do you all agree with me or not?

I do agree, although I usually put my computer on mute. I did not today and it did scare me.

Hi CatsandDogs! I too have had the dickens scared out of me a time or two so I then "got smart" and muted my computer while mylotting! I do understand that we need the adds to get paid, but I agree that they could be quieter!

I don't mute my computer because I listen to the radio but maybe I should get a portable radio instead. lol I can even deal with the blinking ones because we can push the Esc button to stop the blinking but it doesn't work on the talking ones. ARG!!

That might be your best bet then hun ... get a portable radio and then when your mylotting mute your computer! I have only seen one add that made me damn near jump out of my skin and that was the add for emoticons!

Me too!! I can handle the silent ones but those talking ones are bad and I wish mylot would take it off once and for all and stay with the quiet ones. At least the flashing ones can be stopped by pushing the Esc button but not the talking ones.

Ohmygoodness! That scared the crud out of me! I was listening to my music so the volume was up and BAM! I nearly threw my laptop across the room! Yeah, wasn't fun... I could definitely do without the talking stuff
