hi all..
i was just wondering if people still have the habit of writing diary or journal?
for me, i used to have an online diary..now i am too busy to update it..
i feel that keeping a diary is very useful because next time when you flip open the diary, you will be able to recall the happy and sad moments that you went through..
do you guys have a habit of writing diary or journals?

Hello Flowerday,
Do you write diary/journals?
Yes, I used to keep a diary but now I just go to a website and it's almost like having a diary but even better. You get to write down all of ur hopes and dreams and people will come there and make comments and leave you encouraging words. Hope you will visit it and stay for a while. I hope that anyone who read this will feel free to go there and check it out. Here is the site, let me know what you think? Please go there and check it out,E.

I used to have a diary, in my early teens, which I eventually stopped, for some reason, or other. I'm not entirely sure why I stopped. All I know is that I had a diary, and then I didn't, I stopped writing in it. I suppose that the logical reason is that I simply lost interest in writing in a diary.

hihi...it was nice to hear that you had a diary when you were young..but it was sad to know that you actually stopped...
it is not easy to start writing diary..it needs a lot of time and effort..but once you start, and get the hang of it, it will be quite fun anf enjoyable.. therefore i feel that it is really wasted that you stopped writing after awhile..
hope that you can start writing diary some day when you manage to find the interest again! =)

I do not keep a journal right now. I have in the past. I hear it is a useful tool for a lot of things. An eating journal is supposed to help people lose weight and keep it off. I find the journals I write to be very inspirational.

I had a diary when I was a teenager, I didn't write a lot, but I sometimes wrote about the things that happened in my life, my thoughts and my feelings. I didn't keep that diary, but it could have been fun to read it now. After my first diary I didn't write a diary for about 10 years, but in 1999 I started writing again and I still write a diary today. In some periods of my life I write every day or almost every days, and in other periods I only write once a month or less. Right now I don't write much, but it is often a help for me to write when I am sad or in just in a bad mood.

hihi..it is really a pity that you did not keep your diary that you wrote when you were a teenager, i guess it will definitely be very interesting and fun to read it..
same as you, i write when i am sad or just in a very bad mood..when i dont feel like telling anybody or expressing my sorrow, i will just write everything down in my diary..sometimes i actually hope that someone can read my diary and understand what i am going through, but i really dont know how to express it...

Hello flowerday,
Please excuse me b/c right now I'm in the midst of something and I must go break away for a little while. When I get back on I will let you know what all you need to do to sign into that site. Personally speaking I didn't find a problem with it. It didn't seem complicated to me not at all. So you might want to try going back and just look over everything once again really good. It should have the instructions right there on it that you will need to do in order to connect up. Personally I wouldn't worry about who went there to read it b/c it's just ur own dreams and goals that ur writing down and nobody is going to force you to hold to them. That would be completely up to you and ur higher power. Will chat back with you soon....... Hope you will join me there...... Peace out.E.

I write in online journals and in my journal. It helps me figure things out and get feelings out towards whatever I am dealing with. Although, they are personal I would love one day for my kids to read them so they know who I was, who I am, and who I have grown to be. maybe they can learn like I did and respect the writing process in figuring out who "you"are.

hihi...
it will be quite interesting for the kids to read the parents' diary..
because i feel that the diary consists of all the ups and downs..and the kids will be able to see and understand what we had gone through..
and they can learn from the mistakes we did...
and read about the those funny stories that took place..
it is just a very good idea..!

I don't have the need or desire to keep up a daily diary. On the other hand, I find it can be enormously useful chart certain events or thoughts in a journal. Some of my journal entries are pages and pages long. Sometimes there are months in between journal entries. Maybe the difference is that a journal is more free-form.

yeah my journal is also usually a record of certain events and not really on a everyday basis..but sometmes, the recording of the events will lag because i was too busy to write it on the day itself..
but sometimes a daily diary is quite useful..it shows you what you have been doing everyday..and not just those important events..
but a daily diary is just too time consuming..

I have started a journal, well two actually: one for the things happening now and what I feel about life in general and a second to tell the stories that will be lost if I do not get them down for my children and theirs. Stories I remember my grandparents telling or my parents, even my childhood memories. In this way there will be a record later. I believe history cann teach many things, but the text books these days teach the history of Taco Bell and other things and they do not make it interesting.
I think that telling a personal story will be a wonderful way to teach family history.

hihi..
whoa it is cool to have two journals!!
it is really interesting to keep a record of the stories that you intend to pass on to your children and grandchildren..
yep i agree that that history and personal experience are probably the best way to learn and gain knowledge..and alot cannot be learnt from the books or anywhere..
