Making money online,,different sites to chose from

Hi there, I am interested in making money online,but what I need to know is with these paid sites for eg you have to pay to join then you get a package sent to you then you start the surveys,are they good,are they true and not a faulse reputation,how can you tell if one is good or not.I have looked at many to join but dont know which one,maybe you can help me,I am from new zealand,but I dont think it matters where you are to join.
