I love my cats

I really do, but... I've had it the last few nights where the little darlings have been sleeping on me, tromping on me, waking me up...
Last few nights Pong has been sleeping on my upper back/neck, and someone, Scamp, or another cat, on the lower part of my back, some cat between my legs and IF I dare more, they all have to jump up for pets!
I am miserable!
Last night, after getting to bed after midnight, I woke up once at 2 and again at 5.
Oh, my, but they were excited when I woke up at 5, I had claws in my BUTT as they played musical cats on me! I got up, went to the bathroom, discovered the roomie was also awake, lay down on her bed for a bit to cool off (since having 100ยบ+ cats all over me had gotten me over heated.) When I got up from there, I went to bed and shut the door!
I had 2 or 3 cats in the room, Gabby, Oliver and maybe Ronnie. I hit the snooze on my phone for over an HOUR trying to catch up from some of my lost sleep. I feel like I've been stepped on, going to take a pain pill tonight I think.

Ever think there may be something in the saying "Too much of a good thing"?! One snugglecat is plenty when you want to sleep,but when you have a gang of them being playful in the bedroom,it seems a bit much when you're being sleep deprived as a result!

The bedroom window is parallel with my bed...He'll sit there on the windowsill keeping an eye on the Birds or whatever in the garden,and when He's done,he's been known to do a jumping dismount from the window onto parts of Me I'd rather not have several pounds of Cat using as a landing pad..He learned to stop doing that quite quickly..

How many cats do you have??? Sounds as if you need to start a training session. I had a cat that loved wrapping around my neck while I was sleeping. It was GREAT in the winter, but the pits in the summer!!! Every time she got on my neck, I'd lift her off & sit her down on the floor. Took her a few days, but she got the message!!!
I later had a cat that loved sleeping on my butt. I woke up every morning with a backache. I was always careful when I moved so as NOT to disturb her. Then it dawned on me that she didn't care if I had a backache so I began to wonder why I cared if she was comfortable. Then I got to where when she'd crawl up on Me, I'd turn over so she had to move. Once I started waking her up every time she woke Me up, she stopped getting up on my butt!!! It took her less than a week to learn not to get on my butt. So, find a way to show your furbabies it's just NOT cool to bug you!!! They'll resist at first, but they will give in if you don't!!!

I have 25 cats, now, only about half of them are a problem, but the big deal is that they all WANT to on TOP of me! At least it seems that way...
I've tried, but since there are so many of them, I can't get one off without many more right behind them.

Like I said...they'll give up if you don't!!! I believe I'd close the bedroom door so they can't get in the room. They can't lay on you if they can't get to you!!!

Mine do that to me too, especially the kitten Jason. He wakes me up to sleep on me 3 or 4 times a night sometimes. Only he doesn't always sleep, sometimes he turns circles or claws or whatever. Sunny mushes. Tiger nips fingers. Oreo sucks your skin. But I tolerate that way more than a certain male person's snoring.

I have a couple of cats who like to work their way UNDER the duvet in order to cuddle up. They're not allowed to, but they sneak in once I'm asleep. Not only do they make the inside of the bed hairy, but they have the cheek to GROWL at me if I roll over in the night and disturb their slumber. I chuck them out, with a resounding 'Who's bed is this anyway?!' ringing in their ears!

Morning Elic: Glad to hear you got some sleep (G)!! I'm still trying to picture you in your bed with all your darlin's sprawled out all over you, like in that one photo you have of all the kitty's in your bed, and they are all over you, One can't
really see you in the bed for all the cats...LOLOL!!
With all my aches and pains my Cats feel like they weigh 50++lbs or more she does a good job of hitting all my tender spots on me; (sigh) oh well I have so much pain
what's a little more right as she walks across me;
As soon as I lay down on my couch, she thinks that's her cue to come lay up on me,
I lay on my heating pad on my back when I lay down on the couch or to take a nap
and here she comes;
give your babies some hugs and kisses from me....{{love those kitty's}}}

OK I counted five cats! Pong, Scamp, Gabby, Oliver and Ronnie! Is that correct? Are they all felines? My, my...I only have two cats and only one sleeps with me. She doesn't keep me awake, although I have been woken up by nasty odours coming from the litter tray in the adjoining bathroom or dry reaching which, if not caught in time causes nasty puddles on the floor for me to step on in the morning!
Your discussion is a day old now and I don't know what time it is where you are so, if you haven't already taken one, I think the pain pill is a good idea!

I know the feeling sweety but with me it wasn't cats just a seven year old daughter! How one child can take up so much room is beyond me! lol Top that off with Grandbunnies that love to make lots of banging noises just as I am getting to sleep and you will know some of the reasons I have bags as big as suitcases under my eyes! xxx

Back in the day (to borrow a phrase), my cats used to lay on both sides of me to where they pinned me down - two on one side and two on the other. I couldn't even get out of bed. The ones I have now don't really lay on me in bed. Shady will lay on me if I'm on the couch and Chloe will sit on the back of the couch. If I'm sitting up, she'll walk past me, head butt my head and then lay down touching me, either with her body or she'll put a paw on me. But, in bed, Chloe stretches out behind me against my back and Shady lays by my feet. With my daughter, before she got her own cat, Shady would lay on her chest and face. But, she doesn't do that with me for some reason. I'm glad, but still, it's like she senses a difference.

I hope things have gotten better for you. I only have one cat but he does the same to me. I get woken up by the kids atleast 3 times a night, so I know how you feel with the lack of sleep. I take sleeping pills when it's camodad's night to get up with the girls.

Ha ha ha ha! You made me laugh! You think that's something, try sleeping with 30 cats! I have 3 females who insist on (tucking) me in every night! They get along side me and start tucking, tucking, tucking me in with their little paws and legs going real fast, tuck, tuck, tuck, faster and faster! I think they are having a contest to see who can tuck the fastest! Then I have one who would be totally happy if he could sleep in my mouth! I have sinus problems and every morning I wake up, my mouth is wide opened, (and I snore), so when I open my eyes, there is his face almost in my mouth! Once his nose WAS in my mouth, YUUUUK!! Then I go to step out of my bed and squish, you guessed it, a big soft, wet squishy HAIRBALL! They love to put them where my feet hit the ground! When I wake up, it is hard getting out of bed because I am covered in HOT cats who are sound asleep! I too get over heated and head to the bathroom for a long soak in the tub where I can cool down! This is all my fault because I can always shut my door, but I do love my cats and they do love to be with me, so I'll just have to put up with it!

I feel for ya... I only have Harmony to contend with, but sometimes she can be a real pain if she wants to go out before I want to get out of bed. Then she starts scratching the furniture...

I know just what you mean Elic! Having 9 cats (now) myself, I find myself waking up to being covered or surrounded by cats. lol Gosh, it feels so good to be loved like that but dang! Their body heat is a bit higher than ours which causes us to be overheated. Try explaining that to these furry creatures who just want to love us and love us some more.... *sigh*

I have one cat that sometimes sleeps with me when I go to bed. The first time she did, I was afraid to move for fear I'd kick her. Then there are the twins, one wants to sleep on my stomach and the other on my neck as I'm taking a nap on the couch. Fortunately it's not at the same time.

OMG, that's crazy. I have a cat that sleeps on my side, but it doesn't bother me; cause she stays pretty still- the other cats just cuddle up next to us or under the covers- they're all pretty good about staying still.
