Hello Dasari100, I have no plans to work as a volunteer at this moment and never been one before. I just have too much things to do right now. I am not sure in the future, maybe after the retirement I can actively involve in a volunteer work. It is good deed in fact but not all people can do so.

Better to give prefer both of them because kids, old people can't do anything even they don't have to think anymore and they need our help so let's we put our hands to serve them for better society.

It is good to help always for people so we can find many of them and even they didn't have shelter and food so you can imagine how many of them staying without food in a day.

I've volunteered with quite a few organizations now. I don't know if I will always have time to volunteer or not. But I'll definitely always try to at least do something. Currently I foster rescued guinea pigs and I volunteer at a marine mammal wildlife center.

That sounds here that you are on the way so you have the good thoughts to do or give service with different Organizations. share with your experiences my friend while you are working on those organizations.

You are such a nice person like me if you like to be a volunteer as you like to give service to others without asking anything in return. I have been a volunteer before for a medical mission to depressed areas in my country and I honestly missed doing that but I am very busy these days. I have thought of working as a volunteer abroad in the future.

That is really good decision to work as a volunteer in the the future for especially in the abroad and really appreciate that, if want to work anything and doing then we should not expect anything so then we can feel so happy my friend.

I have volunteered for different sorts of jobs in the church, it is only right that after all the blessings that we get, there are so many people out there who needs our help, and we should volunteer at least a few hours of our time to help them. Its a great feeling to know that you have made a difference in the lives of these people. There are times when we would gather to pack relief goods for those who are in need. Other times, we would go to urban poor communities and have feeding programs.

Any where working as a volunteer sounds good so you will receive god blessings by working some where as a volunteer. Are you looking to work some where else?

At our church, each family cleans the church once a week, and so I volunteer there once or twice a year, and we have groups that are called upon to prepare the food whenever there is a special event. I am in the first group and I will help out then. As for other volunteering other then helping out at church, I do not do any. I volunteered once years ago, when we were first married and trying to adopt and I was told that if I volunteer and help out at a school for the mentally retarded, they would approve my application, but they lied. So I did not do any volunteering until I joined our church except for one time when I canvassed for the diabetes foundation.

I have worked as a volunteer in a couple of different countries. In 1999 I first heard about the camphill movement and it sounded really intersting so I decided to spend some time working as a volunteer in two different camphill villages. People with special needs live in the camphill villages, I didn't get paid for working there, but I definately don't regret spending my time in the villages. It was very rewarding to be there and it was an experience that I will never forget. In the future I plan on volunteeing in my own country, too.

I think volunteering is very rewarding; you meet so many who are so grateful for whatever you do. They actually bless you! I used to help the visually impaired by reading their mail to them, driving them places and be their sighted guide.

I have tried to volunteer in a hospital for 3 months. It's really tiresome to care for a lot of patient then knowing that I don't have any salary. But still I enjoyed my work. At the end of the day, it's still good to feel that I have helped in a small way that I could. It's a rewarding feeling and a sense of completeness.
