My husband and I have been racking our brains... It's got a cookie-type, crunchy exterior rolled up in a tubular shape and usually stuffed with a chocolate, choco/hazelnut filling. I believe they're Italian, and they come in big cans. They can be served with coffee, in ice cream, with fruit with syrup, you name it! They're about 8 inches long by 1/2 inch wide. I want to try making these since I'm on a chocolate dessert kick, but I can't find a recipe without knowing the name. It's torturing me, not knowing the name! Please help!

If you mean the cookie then its probably a pirouette, here is a picture of them from Pepperidge farm
http://www.pepperidgefarm.com/ProductDetail.aspx?catID=734&prdID=120614 (not a referral link). They may have another name but I don't know it.
I think I even found you a recipe http://www.recipezaar.com/Pirouette-Cookies-96618 (not a referral link).
Hope this helps.

Do you mean those filled wafer sticks? I think there's a brand called Caprice & they come in cylindrical cardboard cartons or tins. We had the cappucino ones at Christmas but, I'm sorry... I can't think of the proper name for them either...& it doesn't say it on the tin, it just says 'luxury filled wafers'
