I earned $10.49 for my first 2 and a half months with mylot. I was so glad I reached the payout. I was wondering why no payments appeared with paypal. I discovered I erroneously reported to mylot in my account preference my nickname bing while what was registered was my full name Sabina at paypal. I corrected my account preference with my lot plus a message if could kindly transfer payment to Sabina instead of bing, no reply so I repeat my inquiry myLot replied no need to follow up they will acted upon promptly if needed to. I checked with paypal and same requested if there's payment intended for bing if it could be trnsferred to Sabina anyway they are the same person with just one the same email address. Paypal advise me to send request for payment with mylot thru them. I have to email mylot again if they really paid me as paypal claimed no payment received, Mylot then confirmed I was paid Feb.12. I forwarded the email to paypal but send me survey instead if I was satisfied with their actions with my questions. I answered the survey and request them again to just confirm if there was a payment made to Bing last Feb 12 as mylot claimed, I did'nt get a reply from paypal. Is my payment of $10.49 I was excited about will just be charge to experience?

If a payment was made to you, but you haven't received it, double-check and make sure you entered your PayPal email address correctly. If you didn't, your payment might be stuck in limbo waiting to be claimed. If you did, make sure you have confirmed your email address. Your payments won't show up unless you've confirmed your account's email address to complete the registration process.

What is the amount you see in your profile which is due to payment on 15th May.
Is it the total amount you have earned till now or the amount after deducting 10.49?
Because if it is after deducting 10.49, I doubt that you will not get the money including the first payout.
I still can't figure out, that if the email address was correct then what was the need to report to mylot? You are saying that email id is correct but the nick name by which you "contacted" mylot was different, isn't it?

I entered my paypal email address correctly, I had confirmed it too. Only that I erroneously reported to mylot the name registered at paypal as Bing where the correct one was Sabina. I corrected it while the claimed payment of mylot was done already. How can I claim it to paypal? I think I can only receive this if mylot would correct it to paypal but the problem seems mylot did it's part already in paying and they don't have the time correcting possibly because i made the error in submitting the correct name to them. I'll be waiting for my 2nd payment this May 15, I would just be more happier should paypal include my first mylot payout. Thanks for the response.

Bing, if MyLot sent the payment to your correct email address, there should be no issues at all. PayPal does not allow you to enter the name of the person you're sending your payment to. It's automatically entered when you enter the email address.
If your name was incorrectly entered and it was a problem, I think MyLot would have contacted you before sending your payment. The person who referred me had that problem--she entered her initials instead of her full name. MyLot contacted her and asked her to update her personal information before they would send her a payment. I think they would have done the same for you if that was a problem.
Are you absolutely sure that the email address that you gave MyLot is linked to your PayPal account? Payments can be sent to any email address, even if it's not linked to a PayPal account. If your email address isn't on your PayPal account, you just have to add it to claim your payment. Although... I think there is a 30 day limit on that. If you had to claim the payment for it to be credited to your account, and you didn't, it was probably refunded to MyLot's account.
Why don't you see if you can get a transaction number for the payment MyLot says they sent you? Then you may be able to find out what happened to it from PayPal, or have MyLot research it to see if they can find out.

There's nothing wrong with email address only the name I registered with paypal was my complete name Sabina but I erroneously submitted to mylot was my nickname bing. Though I corrected it already with mylot, the problem paypal won't confirm if they receive payment in favor of bing, what they are claiming no payment received for me (sabina. Both mylot and paypal don't answer my request if they can transfer the payment to bing in favor of Sabina. Yes it's really sad. Imagine the effort made with that aroun 450 comments just to earn the 10 dollars. Thanks for responding.

bing is just your screen name so how was it transferred to that name. Did you update the correct information regarding your paypal email before requesting the payout. If you had the correct information for paypal email before you reached payout then the money should have been transferred to your paypal account mentioned in your profile. Anyway good luck with the payment and hope you receive it soon ..... so don't just leave it keep following up and you should get your rightful earnings.

yES bing is my nickname erroneously I reported it to mylot as the one registered in paypal when Sabina (my real name) was the one registered at paypal, there's nothing wrong with the email address. I corrected it already and this would effect on my 2nd payout. Yes, I just hope mylot would try to check on this as well,if they could make a correction for the first payout to release it in favor of Sabina, then I could have my two payouts, then it would be a true blessing. thanks for the response.

I can't understand your point till now. I have read it twice and thrice but what I can understand is that
You have registered with mylot with the user name bing and you have used bing as your paypal email id too. So, mylot must have paid the money to the email you have used till 12th Feb09. I don't think mylot can do anything once the payment was made.

Wow, 2 and a half months. :-) It seems that this is the tradidtional amount of time it takes for people to receive a payout from this site. Now, I am really curious to know: what exactly about myLot makes individuals continue striving to reach a payout? The only thing I can think of is the ability to make money that before did not exist. :-)

The thing that you're participating in discussions while earning at the same time. This make us to continue to stay with mylot while in other sites we also continue writing blogs without earning anything. So while we enjoy participating in discussions we continue striving hard to reach payout as well. Right before we focus on the ability to write but since there are little earnings being offered we are now focused on the ability to make money while writing. Thanks for the response.

Yes, that is definitely true. That is the reaaon I have continued to stay with myLot. I like the fact that the pay (even though it is not much) is a lot better than any other site on the Internet. It gives me total satisfaction to know that I am receiving payment for something I enjoy.
