I once heard this saying long time ago from movies and from my mother and this made me smile. How true is this at present generation. Is it still true that somehow not very literally, but, do men still look for women who can cook or a good housewife? or somebody they can put in a pedestal? If you are a man, what's your opinion on this? to women, do you think this technique is still effective? or you have other techniques to get the man you like.

I think that kind of thing still works as I have a friend before that was trying to build me up on a guy who likes me. My friend told him that I am a good cook and cooks the best spaghetti and steak that he had ever had in his life.
However, there are other ways to get a man's heart and not just his stomach.
You need to create a good chemistry or connection with him especially on a first date so that the guy will really call you afterwards. You have to be creative and not predictable, if the guy can predict whats going to be next, he will find you boring.
