MY PCrefuses to access network , why ?

I have a custom made computer which I recently had to format I got a virus which there was no hope in curing it.I almost finished setting it up today,the last thing I needed to do is connect it to the internet,which it fails to do .I have a Motorola wireless router which plugs intomy computer and provides me internet,(stating the obvious ,sorry )when I set it up when I got my internet done,I pretty much just plugged it inand it worked.I tried using the Motorola disk ,but that failed as there was a string error...,using the bigpond disk fails as well ,it says I have insufficient Hard Disk space...,so any help that you guys can give would be really appreciated !thanks!!
