How do you arrange your dog when you travel?

What will you do when you need to go for a business trip for couple days or go somewhere on a vacation?
I was thinking about what I would do if I need to go somewhere since I don't trust anybody here besides my hubby and if I go anywhere, hubby will be with me. But I don't want to keep him at the pet care at the same time so I don't know what to do...
What would you do? Can you give me some ideas?

i will take it to my parent. when i am in traveling. i thought a lot of about my dogs , i always thinks whether it still listen my words. and whether it is ok and still eat a lot of food. whether it can thought of me. and when i got home it would very happy . and listen me better than ever. and i want to know my dog knows i have thought about him even in my travel.

Sometimes I worry he will get very very upset if I put him at somebody's home and leave, he probably thinks I want to get rid of him...

Hi there!
If you are going on a trip with your pets try to check first if the place you're staying has facilities or pet boarding houses where you can leave your pets. In that way, you can leave them there for a couple of days so your husband will have some time in his own too and not always tending on the pets.
Whenever I go on a trip I always bring my pets with me. But sometimes if circumstances won't permit, I have a maid whom I trust to take care of my pets while I'm away. I just call every morning and night to check on my pets.

If my husband an I can't take our dog along (usually it is easy because he is only 10 pounds!) we will leave him with my parents. He has never stayed at a pet resort or kennel. I just do not trust those places! But even on a vacation, it is easy to find places that welcome pets, especially if they are small. Dogs love the beach as much as people!! :o)
