When John Travolta showed up on Welcome Back Kotter my feelings were that he'd never make it in show business. He was cute as a button, but I just didn't see much talent. I didn't go to see Saturday Night Live simply because I expected him as the stereotype punk making it on his good looks. When he seemingly faded away into nowhere, I felt I had been right. When he did Michael, he began to get my attention. Then he did several really good movies after that & I began to see his acting ability. Now I think of him as a talented actor.
