gardening in the rain

it's going to be raining all day today so how do garden in the rain . can you even do it when it's raining outside.

You can either be a man or you can be a boy. Which is it going to be? A little rain never hurt anyone. It will make the soil softer and you won't have to water your plants for a little while.

I never garden in the rain. I was always told that it compacts the soil too much and makes it harder for the roots to grow. I believe that to be true, too. Besides, while I don't mind the rain, I hate the mud lol. I do, however, pull weeds when the soil is still moist after a rain (not while the soil is drenched though.) I find that weeding the deeper rooted weeds is easier then than when the soil is completely dried out.
