I tend to go away with work sometimes and as a nice surprise when I cam back from my own holiday/vacation, I found out I would be travelling to Ireland at the end of this month. I go on Monday for 4 nights and will be staying in the Cork area.
I have been before but, this trip will be to visit some hotels and I am pretty excited about it! Have you ever been to Ireland and what did you think? Would you like to go back or visit somewhere in particular on the Emerald Isle?

Although I live here, there are still places I've yet to visit within Ireland, having not travelled too extensively here, but rather everywhere else! Isn't that so true though, with the access to modern transport, many people know more about other countries than their own! I've never been to Cork..I'm at the other end,in Fermanagh! Have a great time!

A famous quoted response to the question "What clothes should I bring on a trip to Ireland?" was "All of them!"

I know exactly what you mean - I didn't visit London until I was 24! And yet I had bene to places such as Thailand and USA before visiting my own capital!! lol
I just hope the weather is warme enough as I don't want to have to really wrap up too much whilst going in and out of hotels!!!

One of my university friends comes from Cork. It is a friendly place with beautiful scenery. I hope that you will have a lovely time on the Emerald Island. I took a ferry over to Dublin and the Irish Sea was rough. All sailings were canceled so I spent longer there than I had planned. That was fortunate because I really enjoyed looking around the historical streets. I would like to visit some more of wonderful Ireland one day. If I do I hope to travel around by train looking at a few coastal villages.

I am not sure how much free time I will have yet but, normally if we don't have a lot then it means they have put a lot of excursions or things in the itinerary that tourists would do so that we can experience them. I think it should be a good trip and I am hoping for some nice weather too! x
