I know some people will think this is a joke but I have
heard of this and was wondering if anyone here has tried this...
You can save the shedded hair(fur)from your cat(s) and/or dog(s),
get it spun and make warm items from them. They even claim that
this fur is warmer than wool we get from sheep. Since I no longer have
pets I would like to know if anyone here has ever tried this.
You can find links to some interesting websites that will spin your pets
fur on my blog, Did You Know? at http://I-know-do-you-know.blogspot.com
There is also a link to Martha Stewarts blog that will show you how this is done.
BTW the blankets you see in the picture on my blog were made from pet hair.
Would you consider doing this with your pets shedded fur?

This is amazing! I have never heard of this before! It is such a good idea too. Not to mention how something made from your pets fur can be a keepsake for life. Not to sound morbid, but wouldn't it be a neat thing to have after that pet passes away? I just lost a pet recently and do not really have anything but pictures but I wish I did. This is a very good idea. Thank you for posting this!
